What the heck is up with this place? As I walk in this older guy is just staring at me, didn't say "hello" or "can I help you"... just stared me down. Ok, must remind him of someone he doesn't like. I try to get a look at the soft drink dispenser, but itfeels like he's blocking my path. Ok, getting weird, but he'll I'm thirsty. Go to the cooler, grab the first thing I see. Staredown guy rings me up quick and starts running from the counter (busy I guess, though I was literally the only customer there andwho looked like another employee was just sitting around). I should've just left, but I had two dollar bills in my wallet Ifigured I'd spend on a scratch ticket. Older guy seemed a bit miffed, also I couldn't quite make out which tickets they had asthey were all sorta just flapped over each other disorganized. I said, "just gimme two $1 tickets, whichever you have is fine."He gruffly scanned them and handed them to me. I got out of there, most likely not coming back. Maybe this is one of those"locals only" kinda joints, but you'd think travellers on a country highway would be a businesses bread and butter. Maybe theguy was just having a bad day.
