While in Waco, we wanted to get good barbecue. A few different people recommended Rudy?s. Conveniently located off the highway.... Plenty of parking on any side of the restaurant. Gas station is attached in case you need to fill up before leaving. They havetheir own country store when you walk in. You are able to get glass bottles of soda, or a fountain cup that you can refill. Themeats are ordered by half pound or pound. Lots of sides and desserts. We ordered the moist brisket, pulled pork, and jalapeñosausage. The best hands-down was the pulled pork. Very moist and tasty. The brisket was good, but I have had better. It was notdried out which was a positive. The jalapeño sausage was also very good. Wish I had ordered one more link. After tasting thepulled pork and brisket, I tried it with a little bit of their sauces. Both sauces were good, but I preferred the spicierversion. Gave it a little more of a kick. Read more
When you walk in the door you could smell the smoke from the pit. Grabbed my lone star and had it with moist Brisket, ribs,... potato salad and corn. I enjoyed my meal very Good BBQ Read more

Wow, what a diamond in the rough. This place is so cool. It has old world charm with the country store theme and killer, home... style brisket. I had two breakfast tacos - chopped beef and pulled brisket and both were very good. The atmosphere is laid backand the service is fast and friendly. You need to get here! Read more
Might need a microscope to be able to find any cheese in the cheddar-Jalapeno sausage, and after watching the teenagers they... have cutting meat butcher all the brisket I stuck away from ordering something where how you cut it matters; but it was decentmeat and a nice place to eat. Read more
We got a tip to try this place out while in South Padre. We visited and ordered brisket, ribs, and chicken. The meat had a... great smoke and the sauce was good. I preferred the spicy to the normal. I tried their beans bit did not care for them. Iencourage you to form your own opinions on the beans. I also tried the banana pudding. It was awesome. The staff was friendlyand the atmosphere was good. We spent $44 so it was a little pricey, but it was good. I would stop by again in the future. You can also gas your vehicle up here after dinner. Huge bbq fan. I really enjoyed Rudy's. Everyone got the brisket, (which was great) but I went for the turkey and pulled pork.... Both were fantastic. Also got the creamed corn and banana pudding. For 4 Big eaters to spend under $90 and be stuffed is toughto find for a great meal. The condiment bar with the jalapenos/carrots was an awesome addition as well. Read more
