I love the trend tastes towards small menus at upscale restaurants. It really lets me know they put everything into the dishes... they serve. Also, it makes it easier for those of us who have a hard time choosing! We had the starter special, which,unfortunately was limited time because it was incredible. It was Chilean sea bass topped with crab cake, grilled shrimp, andarugula. For mains we went with Long Island classics, chicken Parm and spare rib bolognese, both served on the pasta of the day.They were awesome! Was greeted upon arrival with enthusiastic and positive atmosphere from the hostess. We were allowed to choose where we sat and... it was a comfortable dining room set up. The waiter greeted us immediately upon sitting. The food was delicious and I had avariety of options. To add some critiques, investing in cloth table covers would be a bonus. Cloth napkins?. also a plus papernapkins give off a pizzeria/diner feeling. Also offering guests either sparkling or tap is a huge plus considering where therestaurant is located $$$. Expanding some of the menu options will also be beneficial for the restaurants revenue. Overall hada great night and I have no complaints about my service and or my meal! Read more
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, it was our first time there, and I have to say it was hands down best dinner and... service we have ever had. Erin or waitress was so attentive and even came out with a candle and Ice cream. The most amazingpart was we ordered, I got the steak and ribs special and my girlfriend ordered chicken parmesan and in less then ten mins itwas in front of us and the platting and quality was out of this world. Wow, just left the North Tavern and had to share our experience. From the service to the food, everything was phenomenal. The... owner greeted us, spoke to us for a few minutes and even provided a sign that said Happy Anniversary. The tuna/steak entree wasfabulous.
