This is a fairly standard no frills diner style restaurant experience. The food is average, they are short staffed so service is... slow, I don't blame the servers, they have too many tables, ownership is to blame for this. Dropped in for an early "comfort food " kind of dinner and wasn't disappointed. I had the Roasted Chicken Cobb Salad with fresh... dinner rolls. You know, I think I could live on those dinner rolls alone! Warm and fresh, yeasty and slightly sweet...drool! Andthe salad was almost perfect. The tomatoes were chopped (like, salsa chopped) instead of sliced or quartered, but other thanthat it was delicious. The service was great. Our server was friendly and just attentive enough. She was there with refillswithout missing a beat, and didn't once ask how everything was just after we shoveled a fork full of food in our mouths! My partner and I had breakfast here last week and I was so impressed with all of the staff. The host was so friendly and upbeat,... and our waitress was kind, a good listener, and very attentive. Our meals were great! I had blueberry pancakes and they werevery good. Our waitress kept our coffee cups full and happily accomodated our condiment and modification requests. Just stopped in and wanted to use a gift card there. The person doing the seating in the very quiet restaurant said he had to... check on seating for 2. He came back and said there was a 15 minute wait. My response was " you're kidding". He says they wereshort staffed. We left and went to a much more expensive place a couple doors down the road. We were seated immediately. Howabout offering a seat and beverages? Very disappointing. Train these young kids in customer service when putting them in theseawkward situations. I realize there's a shortage of help staff. As I understand it, a different Bob Evans the wait staff there has to wash your own... dishes and plate the food. Looks like she has 6 Plus tables all show up at once. That said, I did not like our waitress, sherolled her eyes and kept giving us looks. Me and my family have dietary restrictions and I feel guilty for asking her forsubstitutions. I'm not saying she didn't try. I'm not saying we went without. I'm just saying that I felt like garbage to bewaited on by her. If this shift of responsibility is put on wait staff and widespread... maybe, Bob Evans, you should give thema bonus or something to make their lives easier less stressful, they may feel stuck. You can?t go wrong with this place. There?s a lot of option for breakfast that you?ll be stuffed. I had French toast with Turkey... sausage and I did not feel hungry until almost dinner time. I love how courteous the staffs are. Once you come in it?s ?Welcometo Bob Evans!? They?re very friendly, the waitresses and waiters are super friendly and accommodating. Waitress was great, however, food quality...not so great. Not sure who would eat those hard, withered carrots, and fruit bowl... was the end slices of cantaloupe and rotten grapes ????. Definitely would not be calling home about this meal..... Read more
Marie was a very rude waitress. I work in retention and still manage to be friendly despite all the cussing and verbal abuse I... take on a daily basis. From the moment we walked in, the young male hostess with the glasses that looked like the kid who shothis eye out in Christmas story wasn't friendly at all. And then Marie walked up didn't even say hello just rolled her eyes andasked for our beverage selection. We felt like a constant burden on your staff. I could understand if it was close to closingtime, but this was late afternoon. She rushed our order so much and walked away before we were finished. Was annoyed when wetried to finish the order. I really hope you pay these people minimum wage because this behavior is unacceptable. It doesn'tkill you to smile. I think Marie and "Ralphie" belong in the kitchen away from customers. Until you can promise this behaviorwill be changed, I won't be bringing my family back to your rude establishment. Read more
