I wish this place had shown up when I was searching for a quick bite on the way through Waimea. We ended up stopping at a... breakfast cafe at the end of this shopping center and passed by while waiting for our food. Having just ordered breakfast weonly ordered a handful of things--all of which were absolutely fantastic. The ham & cheese croissant was outstanding--and I'vehad a good many. It was my first pastelito, but I could tell immediately that this baker knows how to make perfect pastry. I soregret not ordering the strudel; even at $15, it seems a shame to waste an opportunity to get such a rare treat made properly. Iwas also disinclined to get anything sweet, but my partner opted to get the lilikoi meringue, and it was phenomenal. Perfectgraham cracker crust, with a custard that hits all the right notes of sweet and tart and a delightful creaminess from themeringue. I wish I could go back. Read more

I've been a Sandwich Isle customer for more than 10 years, all the way back to when Kevin and Kay were selling their wares only... at the local farmers markets. It's great that they now have their own shop so I don't have to wait half a week to get my fix(currently they're open only 3 days per week due to COVID). Sandwich Isle has delicious, made from scratch bread, pastries, andother goodies, including local butter, and attentive, kind staff. Read more
The Best Bakers in the state. Best ingredients, only fresh fruits and berries are used. Great breads, cakes, pastries,... croissants and cookies. Worth a trip to Hawaii just to eat what they bake. Try the caramel nut bars- killer good. Carrot cake isspectacular. Read more
