Don?t walk, RUN TO BRUCE?S!!! I?ve lived in Wainfleet my whole life and have been a frequent flyer to the 2x4 for it?s many... owners in the past years. When we walked in we were greeted right away by the new and AMAZING owner Kyle. His smile lit up thespace and it was the Sunday morning welcome I was looking forward to! The place was packed, but we had no issues taking up twostools at the bar. Breakfast was fresh and absolutely delicious. Kyle came back to chat with us during our meal. I had theMindful morning and my partner got the stuffed French toast. If you get a chance to have a conversation with this man, pleasedo? what a breath of fresh air!! A graceful presence, someone who cares so much for what he is serving up and is shows! We will1000% be making this our regular spot. Thanks for a lovely morning and great conversation. My boyfriend and I went here for breakfast and we had a great experience. We appreciated how they had the locally sourced... vendors right on the menu, the food was high qaulity and the flavours were great! The staff was friendly and very welcoming. Stopped in with family today. We all had different meals. Every one of us completely loved our meals. FYI coffee is the same... coffee used by prior owners. The place has been updated to a clean simple elegance and is clean. Much time must have gone intocleaning the diner as it was filthy before. Will definitely not be returning! I called and asked for two Reuben sandwiches. Apparently their menu has changed and the owner... has failed to update it online. When I went to pick up my order there were also two salads and two side fries. I did not orderthis nor was I told about my sides. All I said to the server was, I didn?t order this, and with the price online this is 3x asmuch. She got ?Bruce? and he was pretty rude. Instead of understanding where I was coming from he immediately accused me of notwanting to pay for food I ordered. I did not order the fries and salad and your menu online hasn?t been updated. His tone andhow he jumped to that immediately was really rude. I think Bruce should stay in the kitchen and hire a front of house managerwho knows how to deal with people and customer service. I like the old place better, the food was priced well for the area andwhat the locals wanted. Will not be returning! Read more
