Came here for plate lunches for years... Always loved the different selections, big portion sizes and prices were reasonable...... But I'm noticing the quality of the food is dipping a bit... My most recent experience, I got the regular plate....The friedrice was mushy (consistently been like that), Kau yook was very tough and the pork eggplant was decent but overall the foodwasn't great... Got gau gee, crispy, meaty, tasted great. Pork hash are big and full of meat. Steamed rice cake was perfect to me. Will be... back! Was not a fan of the manapua so much. Read more

MUST GO for delicious food and excellent service! I usually call ahead to order a variety of manapua and some pork hash for any... any occasion- pot luck, beach day, travel food ????. Owner is kind and also worked with me to make custom bento for mom'sfuneral services. Small businesses and mom 'n pop shops like this are sadly becoming rare in Hawaii, so go and support HONOLULUKITCHEN so we get 'ono food for generations???? Read more

Stopped by with my 7 kids for some Manapua after reading about them in a blog post of must try hidden gems. Honolulu kitchen did... not disappoint. We tried the fried chocolate (the filling on these was incredible!) and Ube buns, steamed char sui, and bakedchar sui. All the buns were delicious. The owner was so sweet to my children, giving them free samples of kid friendly sushi andsteamed buns. Honolulu is an affordable treat that we are all looking forward to visiting again. Read more

Easily some of the best food I had while on island. This place is a hidden gem of local food. They have quick grab bento boxes,... ready to order dishes, and both friend and steamed rolls. I am glad I don't live here because this place alone would make mefat. Read more

11/18/2021 It's been a long time since I had takeout from here. Missed this place! Today I had half Char siu fried rice, half... Chow fun, with Chicken zucchini and mushrooms and Long beans with pork. So delicious and the long beans had the right amount ofcrunch that I like! I can make 3 meals out of one plate since it's packed and heavy! Hubby had Minute chicken, Szechuan pork andeggplant with Chow mein. He also bought fried chicken skin. Super crispy and fresh! I love Honolulu Kitchen! The owner is superfriendly & the employees are quick & helpful! One of my favorite places & they give a lot. The fried fish, spam & egg friedrice, and eggplant & pork are awesome! Fried dessert manapua and regular manapuas are also delicious. Read more

Wow this place is amazing. Best dim sum we found on the island. Incredible cha siu bao (bbq pork bun). Awesome fried manapuas.... Impossible to beat the prices. Very friendly staff and perfect service. If you?re thinking about coming here you need to.Probably the most satisfying meal I?ve had on Oahu. 15/10 Not the best picture but we had already absolutely demolished thesize able meal. I cannot emphasize enough what a good deal this place is. Read more
