I would concede that mellow mushroom is better than Domino's and Pizza Hut but that's not saying much. Since I'm not very fond... of chain store pizzas I figured I'd try the new club sandwich. It was very underwhelming, in fact I love avocado and there was alot of it on my sandwich, however it had no flavor whatsoever. We really enjoyed this place. Never having been here we gave it a shot. The pizza was delicious. They used quality ingredients... and their dough is uniquely tastey. Mellow mushroom is a pizza experience that sets itself apart from other pizza experience.I'm not sure if it's their dough, their awesome selection of draft beer or maybe the mushroom decorations but it hits the spotfor sure. I've eaten pizza at Mellow Mushrooms from Tallahassee to St. Louis. Pizza is good, as were the pizzas ordered from this... location... or so-said the neighbors, because WE didn't eat them! Both were supposed to have gluten-free crusts. Neither did,and we didn't notice until we got home. We'll try this location again, we'll just double check the order this time. Read more
This place is not like it used to be when it opened. Others have told us to not go but we are locals and knew the restaurant... well. But little did we know how the evening would go. I was pleased with the host and we sat on the patio. We brought alittle toy dog and no one told us it was not a pet-friendly environment. We have gone to other Mellow Mushrooms (Myrtle Beach,Wilmington, and CA) and they were pet friendly. We did not realize it was up to other locations to be pet friendly or not. Several workers realized we had a pet and no one said anything but provided praises about our dog. Then our waitress came,which took forever for her to come. I could feel her energy that she would not be a good one. She took our order and when shecame back she stated that the next time we come back no pet is allowed. I was taken away by that. We were outside on the patioand not near anyone and it was a small (toy) dog. When she walked away I told my husband you know what this place does not havethe right energy and the waitress just made it worse. First, she was not friendly, second, she was a smart mouth when Iexplained the type of order I wanted, and finally, it was how she got smart about the pet. So we just got our order to go and Imust say the pizza was horrible. The quality and preparation and ingredients just didn't come together right. We will listenhard the next time friends say stay away. People should be reminded that the presentation is not only about the food but aboutthe people that work for them. This will be our last time. So thank you "SC"(her initials) on 7/1/2022 you waited on us. Hopefully, your presentation will be awesome with the future guests because you were horrible with us. Read more
Always excellent service at this location. We have been here probably a dozen times over the last few years, often new people... serving it seems, but all the servers are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We are creatures of habit ... two of us with ahalf-order of soft pretzels and beer cheese (the pretzels are awesome. Beer cheese last night was way off - not sure what waswrong - but usually it is exceptional), cold beers (always super cold - yay!), and then the Mighty Meaty pizza (our hands-downfavorite, lots of toppings, incredible crust) as our main course. Saturday impromptu Mother/Son outing, stopped by this restaurant. Ate in the covered outdoor area (put a weighted item on your... napkins!) They had a bean bag toss thing outside. Staff seemed to be teenagers, but all were friendly. Food was really good. Weshared the dessert. A little pricey for ME, but I assume it's fine for the area. Read more
Great pizza. We got a large hamburger pepperoni and veggies at the bar. Did not take long. Staff friendly. First time I got... sliced tomatoes on a pizza. It was good! Based on appearance behind bar, it could use some updating. Note to bartenders thatpatrons could read. Read more
Love their pizza!???? We always get the special and split a Greek salad. Friendly staff, quality service. Never have to wait... long for our food. Recommend pizza joint. Read more
