What a cute and wonderful spot to eat! Clearly very popular, there was a line outside for the entirety of our visit (we arrived... about 1pm on a Friday), but the line moved quickly and the staff were efficient and friendly. There is a beautiful patio arealooking out to the river, and inside is just as nice. The menu is varied and delicious, drinks are expertly crafted andunique. My Mediterranean plate was generously portioned, filling, and vegan (they kindly swapped the Naan for corn chips). The server was knowledgeable about dish ingredients and was kind and accommodating for dietary restrictions and allergyconcerns. The storm is coming ginger beer cocktail is fantastic too, a perfectly fresh but warming fall drink. If you're inwakefield, this is a must-see! Read more

Tasty food and fast friendly service. Lucked out on soup of the day because I love borscht; nice to see they're using seasonal... items as well, the roasted beets abd fresh cherry tomatoes made the meal great. Read more

We chose to eat at Cafe Le Hibou because it was highly recommended. It was very busy as it was a beautiful day out. We were... seated rather promptly, but there was some confusion at the host station. We?re were greeted by different people and theirprotocole (taking names down on a list) didn?t seem to be followed by everyone. Minor detail, yet we would have been seatedbefore others who were waiting before us if we hadn?t said anything. Service was great, very friendly and prompt. We ordereddrinks as well as the Moules frites and butter chicken poutine. Food was fantastic, and the wait time was reasonable consideringit was very busy. Read more

Delicious food. Friendly service. Great patio view of the lake. Beer and vinho Verde selections. Had pork belly on steamed bun,... home made hummus and poke bowls. Relaxed and enjoyable vibe. Perfect place to eat delicious food. The shrimp ceviche was theonly dish we wouldn't order again as it had lime and not much else going on in the dish. Went June 30 as a celebratory lunch.Definitely going back to Cafe Le Hibou. Read more

Another reason to love Quebec! This is a fantastic, cozy, and cute restaurant in the beautiful town of Wakefield. The biggest... highlight is the fish & chips. The fish is fresh and it is served with cabbage, fresh home fries and a delicious home-madetartar sauce. The vegan burger was absolutely brilliant. It was extremely flavourful. What made the 2 items even better was thehot sauce and I purchased a bottle of it to bring home. The staff is extremely polite and courteous. In fact they suggested meto buy the sauce separately to avoid paying service charge on the bottle. I have saved this place for the future. Cafe Le Hibou- you have found a new loyal patron! Thank you for the brilliant food and service. Read more

You come to Wakefield for that cozy getaway feeling and Le Hibou is just what the doctor ordered. Delicious home made food and... almost everything is locally grown. We got the French Onion soup and the chicken masala poutine. Delicious and I can?t wait tocome back in the summer when the patio is open and there?s live music! Read more
