Great! It always is. If I go to wakefield I go here for lunch. It's chill, lots of beer to choose from. Pleasant outdoor... patios; riverside or backside. Some evening there is live music and an open mic. It's a small bar, but just the right size. It'sa small bit tarnished, but that only adds to the, "I'm glad we're here" vibe. Let me say, I am never disappointed with the lunchtime menu. As labour is in short supply lately, all over, the other day there was only one server and one cook running the wholeshow. They did marvelously. Upon entry the server said, " it's gonna be a while." That was a good intro. She told me what toexpect right away. It may have taken a while but I don't really know. She brought us our drinks in reasonable time, serviced ourtable, brought our food, checked up on us. She did very well. I'll be back, again, as always. Read more

Nachos were extremely good! The chips and the sour cream were exquisite. Only downside was that their Seltzer and Cider were not... up to par to the nachos. I am sure their beer are way better but we were not feeling like drinking beer that day. Willdefinitely go back to try another drink and eat their nachos again. Read more

We stopped by for lunch on the way from the cottage back to Ottawa. We had our dog with us, and had no problem securing a place... on the outside terrace. The service and the food were excellent. Best minestrone I have ever had! Read more

Well only our favourite place in Wakefield now, thank you very much! My boyfriend and I took a trip to Wakefield on Saturday... about a half hour from my cottage and took our time checking out shops, and thankfully chose to stop here for a pint(s) and anacho. The waitress (and owner if I recall correctly) was down a server and working alone on a busy sunny Saturday afternoon.She was pleasant and friendly and had a great sense of humour. We both had a Boreale north east IPA and shared a nacho, perfectcombo.. the nachos were not your average, they were way better! Shortly before the major storm hit, we managed to also meetsome great people and hung out longer than expected. We had great service, great food, great beer, and all around great timeeven after the storm hit when we huddled inside, (with no power!) Great spot for locals to showcase their talents on Wednesday night open mic nights. Food is the best around prepped by an... awesome culinary talent named Ray. One taste of his brisket will have you hooked and coming back for more. The bar staff arefriendly and helpful and strive to make your night out the best it can be without pressure or expectations of being rewarded forit. Worth the trip to discover a new place to have fun and enjoy live entertainment. You'll be back if you decide to visit theplace once. Read more
