Most people are very excited for their cake tasting, but if you are going to Calculated Confections for your wedding cake, you... should be over the moon! Khadija is a very kind and talented baker, and her cake was PHENOMENAL. We had the option of chocolateor vanilla cake with an assortment of different icings and fillings. All the different combinations were delicious. It took usso long to decide but were over the moon with our final product. One of the things I was most looking forward to at my weddingwas being able to eat some more cake! Khadija was available for questions all along the way with quick responses. Come weddingday we were over the moon because it was just as delicious as we remembered, and she decorated the cake beautifully. BEST Apple Cider donuts in the Hudson Valley! In my opinion they're better than Tantios Farm (which were my favorite for 4... years) they were last ranked #1 best apple cider donut in Hudson Valley, but Calculated Confections beats them. I hope she canenter her donuts in the next competition. They also started doing Afghan food on Wednesdays from 4:00-8:00pm and it's very good!We got the chicken kabobs. Small bakery with seating inside and outside. I got a red velvet cupcake -the icing was delicious, not too sweet. The cake part was a little dry, but overall was good. I loved the chocolate chip cookie!They have GF and vegan options as well, and many coffee and tea choices. I will definitely be back to try the other pastries! Read more
A little tucked away gem of a bakery/cafe near Waldens downtown is the spot for your cakes, desserts and coffees! I got a... margarita cake for my wife's birthday and it was really good; moist, not too sweet and very unique compared to the dry, overlysweet cakes we're used to getting at other places in the area. After taking a bite it was evident that they make their own cakebatter and everything tasted homemade. I'm having this realization that most places use boxed cake mix for their cakes.
