Excellent food with a diverse menu and choices for every palate. The owners and the staff are always friendly and the kitchen... staff are amazingly quick. I love their Cheese & Onion Enchiladas (not on the menu) or while my husband tends to like theirBurrito. All their choices are great. Read more

It's a cute little restaurant. We were in the mood for Mexican food and the other restaurant in town we drove by seemed a little... busy for our liking so we decided to stop in at Azul Mexican restaurant. We were kindly greeted and immediately given a tableand it wasn't but a moment when the waitress had returned to take our drink orders. The margarita game is strong with thisplace, they don't seem to mind pouring a little extra in your drink and it tasted delicious, I should say they tasted deliciousas we had multiple drinks. I got one of the combination plates that came with an enchilada, a chili relleno and a taco. My onlyreal complaints were that the chili relleno and enchilada had way too much cheese which is saying a lot as I'm a fat kid thatnormally loves cheese, and also the chili relleno seem to be coated and just scrambled egg as opposed to an egg batter like I'mused to. Other than those two Minor details everything was great. The taco which admittedly is not something I normally wouldorder was just a simple double-shelled crunchy taco with ground beef some tomato and lettuce and a little bit of cheese but itwas the best taco I've ever had and honestly I wish I had gotten just a plate of those. The salsa was also mad good and thestaff was excellent. They also have a really cool skeleton key collection inside above the front door. So if you find yourselfin Waldport and you got a little hunger pain going on in your belly stop in at Azul Mexican restaurant get yourself a strongmargarita and some darn good tacos. Also ask for extra salsa right away cuz you want it, it's that good. Read more

Really, the personnel were extraordinarily kind and tried to meet our every (changeable) request. We ordered combination plates,... and the food was delicious, though we could have asked for more heat. We asked for mild. I added kick with the table salsa. Ididn't expect the large size and richness of the sopapillas dessert (numerous sugared crispy crescents with dollops of Covidwhipped cream and chocolate syrup, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream, and a sweet strawberry sauce).Too much for one person, but my husband couldn't help out after his large plate Read more

On our first trip to Azul, we stopped in for lunch. Absolutely amazing! My wife enjoyed the enchilada plate with beans and rice.... I enjoyed the express burrito with beef, beans and rice? topped with wonderful sauce and guacamole. We snacked on the freshchips and tangy salsa while waiting for our order. We?ll be back on our next trips thru Waldport! Read more

Driving thru on a road trip and stopped by right before closing for takeout. We got a carne asada plate and some enchilladas. I... wouldn't say this is great Mexican food in general. Perhaps it is for the area but in general no. The carne asada meat wasreally gross. I can't even tell you what cut it was or anything. It was legit just a hunk of meat that may have been boiled. Nosear or grill marks.... It was like a dog steak. My dog enjoyed it but I did not. It came with chips and salsa which was niceand the margaritas were not bad but most likely just a regular bottled mix with tequila. It was our only option at that time soif it's also your only option: lower your expectations. Read more

If you are looking for some fantastic Mexican flavor, this is the place. As we drove up the Oregon coast in what seemed to be... hurricane force winds and rain, we found shelter and welcoming smiles in this humble establishment. The staff attended to ourculinary desires and within a few moments we were presented with what can only be described as ?heavenly Mexican manna.? Read more

On rainy days we try to do laundry and grocery shop. It was a rainy, dreary day in Waldport and we were not thrilled with the... idea of cooking at our campsite back at Tillicum Beach Campground. We found this little gem down by the marina. The vegetarianenchiladas were wonderful with a light citrus tasting sauce. My husband ordered the senior burrito and had plenty to eat. Theservice was quick and the waiter friendly, even with a mask on. We recommend this locally owned restaurant and will return. Read more
