This was our first visit to the restaurant since the management and menu changed. The blood orange margarita tasted like orange... juice and vodka (?), the other drink ordered was completely the wrong drink. The fruit garnish looked like old fruit but we'rethinking it was dehydrated(?). That was very unappealing. The appetizer was interesting. We ordered the brussel sproutappetizer. While it mostly tasted good, half of the brussel sprouts were charred and we're like puffs. We ordered 2 beefWellington meals. While that was excellent, along with the broccoli and asparagus sides, the mashed potatoes were lukewarm, crunchy on the edges and gluey. They tested like boxed mashed potatoes that were precooked, reheated and sat under a heat lampor in a steamer table. Very disappointing for a plate that cost $32. The restaurant was not busy at all so for the wrong drink, overcooked appetizer and underwhelming and not fresh potatoes, we were disappointed. The saving grace was the Wellington and ourserver, who was very friendly and attentive. Read more

My wife and I went here about a week ago, and the food was outstanding. Their Cuban sandwich was probably on of the best that I... have had outside of a Cuban restaurant. Fries were cooked perfectly as well. My wife also said that the Grilled Pear Salad wasone of the best salads that she has ever had. Read more

Had the cod and fries which was delicious. My daughter had a burger that was just okay which is why I gave 4 stars. But... ultimately this place was quick with getting our orders to the table and the staff was very accommodating. Read more

Very disappointed in my experience at this restaurant. Their menu on their website is not current and we went in thinking we... would have this menu to look at. Instead of the 7 page menu they have online it is a two page menu (which is fine, Iunderstand there are issues across the board in hospitality services related to the pandemic). My daughter and I decided beforewe got there that we were going to have the Black and Bleu salad and the Pear salad. The menu stated that it was served withwarm bread. When we arrived we had the new menus to look at, noticed the prices were not the same, and that the bread must nowbe ordered as an appetizer for $6. The menu stated that the "bread service" came with a "variety" of breads, housemade butter, and olio. What we received, however, was six slices of very dry Italian bread (looking like they came out of the same bag), butter, and balsamic dressing. When I ordered my salad the server asked how I wanted my steak cooked and I said medium. A fewmoments later she came back to the table and said, "you said medium rare, right?". I said, "no, medium, thank you". The photoattached is what I got. The server didn't come back to the table for quite a while so I didn't get it fixed. When all is saidand done, I paid close to $45 for two salads, one of which was pretty unpleasant to eat. My daughter loved her salad, though, hence the two stars. Read more

With a reduced menu (which does increase quality, and make logistics and prep more cost efficient and easier to manage) they... were out of some standard menu items. On a Sunday late morning, advertising a Mimosa and bloody Mary bar they didn't haveenough waitstaff and sounded like no dish washer. The manager looked like he just stayed behind the bar for the most part. Usually when a restaurant doesn't have full staff the manager rolls up there sleeves and busses tables, cooks, washes dishes, and if need be waits tables. I understand the current staffing issues, but there were lots of easy solutions to today'sproblems... And it was busy, but not terribly busy. Read more

I stopped in here today to get something while I was running an errand for the wife and I must say the food is incredible! I had... the steak frites and fries. And let me tell you, it was immaculately awesome! The food was well worth it. And you can't beat theprice! If you're ever in the area, you need to stop in this place and try their food. Customer service was really good and theplace was very clean. So if you ever in downtown Walled Lake, check out Dave & Amy's of Walled Lake. Thanks again guys. Keep upthe spectacular work! Read more

My family went to Dave and Amy's on a whim tonight. We hadn't been there in a while and this was our first time there since it... was apparently moved to new management. We had only gone there twice before. The arrow certainly seems to be pointing in theright direction at this place. We had good food and good service. In a time where a lot of places are critically understaffedthey seem to have plenty of people to help everybody. The hostess and waitress we're both very nice and professional. The newmenu was a pleasant surprise. From what I recall the old menu used to be mostly fried foods. Today my kid got some sliders andmy wife and I each got salads (certainly not what I was expecting to eat when I was pulling in the parking lot). I ordered asteak salad that was made well. For me the greens are never the star of a salad, so I'm happy to report this salad had lots ofextras beyond the steak. Had some onion straws, LOTS of fresh blue cheese, bacon, etc. It was fresh and a very good meal for$16. My wife's salad was the same. Only negatives were an incorrect drink order (quickly corrected) and well out of seasontomatoes (I'd probably just leave them out next time) Overall a very good improvement from the last time we were there. We'llbe back. If you have t been there recently give it another shot. Read more
