Like everywhere now all the meals are scaled down. You pay more and get less. My meal tonight was always on the 9.99. Menu. Not... anymore. In the beginning the Balsamic chicken dinner came with 2 pc of chicken. Even before COVID that was reduced to one pc.I would get double rice for my 2 sides, but now a diabetic I get a TINY side salad with no dressing and asparagus and both ofthose were and up charge. I knew the asparagus was, but the side salad never was and I was charged more for both. They also donot put a price on the online menus for anything so it is impossible to check the bill for overcharges..this 9.99 meal cost me18.34 practically double what we use to pay and less food for it..we paid with a comped gift card for a previous bad meal aweek ago and this meal was not worth using the $20 gift card on. i was excited to visit after not coming to this restaurant in a while just to end up being disappointed. the popcorn they give... you unfortunately wasn?t fresh like normally is and the meal i had was not worth 17$. the steak i ordered had a weird texture toit almost like a ground meat texture feel which made it not eatable and the chicken did have a good crunch to some of it but wasflavorless so really couldn?t eat much of it as it was very bland but did try to as i?m not one to send my food back. overallbesides having a good waitress, not a good experience since the food wasn?t good. wouldn?t be a restaurant i?d recommend tofriends/family. Very nice looking restaurant, a bit of slow service, but the food did make up for it. One thing did bother our table, which was... that we had AC vent right on us for the whole time we were there and it made us cold and even our food after a few minutes.Other then that, a nice relaxing atomosphere Read more
I ordered the hot lobster roll special. When I received my plate the lobster roll was just Luke warm and there was hardly any... butter on it. The only melted butter was on the French fries. I asked the waitress for some warm butter to put on it. It didhelp somewhat and I only ate half of it. We go to 99 house frequently and are happy with our orders but not this time.Worstlobster roll I have ever eaten. The soup and petite dessert were good. No more lobster rolls for me there. Stopped by for lunch and the bartender greeted me wearing a jersey from Major League! Attentive and prompt service. Beer was... cold and a great deal on a fried shrimp platter! Hard to find places like this. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great variety and most importantly, fantastic food! I haven't... lived in this area for too long but long enough to know some of the local favorites. 99 definitely falls into that category.Usually I pick and buy what I'm familiar with, as to avoid disappointment due to myself being horribly picky. However, veryrarely, I'll come across a restaurant that supercedes expectation. Which can lead me to feel that I'm in a comfortable enoughposition to open myself to a much broader selection, knowing there's very little chance of being let down. I've been to thisrestaurant a couple times now and have tried various dishes and desserts and I can honestly say that I haven't come across anydistasteful visits. It's a rather pleasant surprise for sure. At the moment my favorite are the steak tips. By far best steakI've had in the area, and I'm sure most will agree. 10/10 Read more
The place has been remodeled since the last time I was there which was years ago. Good food and the staff is nice.
Ate here a couple weeks ago. Had the chips and salsa and some beer. Not much to leave a review on. However the vibe was great... and the bartender (not sure the name but forearms like Popeye) was great. Read more
