Haven?t eaten here before but my family loves the sandwiches.

I love Nardelli's and have frequented almost all of their locations between now and the past 10 years or so, but as of the last... couple of years they decided they'd starting cutting everything in half. I think this started around the time they stoppedcalling it "the Nardelli's way" and started calling it "with everything." If I'm ordering a full grinder, great! Cut that inhalf; this is normal. But there's no reason to cut a small grinder or hard roll in half. Then you have these sandwich pieces aretwice as tall as they are long and the whole thing falls apart after your first bite. I have asked for it to be uncut when Iorder a half size grinder a few times, but they only understand what that means about 40% of the time. I don't know who, at thetop of this franchise, decided on cutting everything in half before you wrap it up like a mischievous little sandwich elfplotting his last revenge on the patrons who've made him sour over weird orders, but it was not a good decision. I don't know what has happened over the past year.. I have used Nardelli's in wallingford not only for a quick dinner or lunch,... but also for catering in the past. 2 days ago, we ordered 2 grinders and the macaroni Salad and tortellini salad. I did all butthrow up from how disgusting everything tasted. The grinders were meh, suddenly tasteless. The real surprise was the foul, sourtasting macaroni and tortellini salad. The 75$ price tag to this meal was also nauseating. I gave 2 stars only because theywere good in the past. I will be finding another deli for my catering hence forth. I am happy that I found this out before Iactually ordered from them again for catering. I would have been so embarrassed to serve this to guests. Read more

Love, love absolutely LOVE this place OMG Grinder heaven .... I have never been to a Nardelli's before this visit... could u... tell. ? Thank you Patty for taking me... best grinder ever... we shared a turkey club everything on it... and yes Franks hotsauce too. After all she is the sister to the king of hot... lol.. but it was delicious... ( still i love my Texas Pete). The place to go for the best grinders in town and they also have wonderful salads especially the antipasto salad. Most locations... have outdoor seating which is great this time of year. Highly recommend and don't forget their desserts they're delicious! Read more
