Reviews for Sasa in Walnut Creek, CA

Japanese restaurant located right in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek with ample indoor space and a lovely outdoor patio. Came... here on a Friday night without a reservation for a party of 5 and we were able to get seated rather quickly. Started off withthe short rib dumplings and best salad. Both different options, the dumplings were very heavy yet flavorful. Although they weredelicious I would not order again. The beat salad was divine, great combination of golden and red beats with walnuts and friedcheese. For our entrees we ordered a few sushi rolls, miso cod, and short ribs. Next time I would strictly order the sushi hereas the cod and short rib dishes were a-la-carte leaving me still hungry after I finished my meal. The sushi was fantasticthough, great flavor, good consistency, and creative rolls. The service was a little slow but all in all I will be back for thesushi and beet salad!! Read more

Wanted to grab a bite at the bar. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Offered a couple recommendations from the menu. I... highly recommend the Beef Short Ribs for a main and Seared Albacore appetizer. Read more

I sat at the bar and had a great view of the back lit stain glass. I had the shrimp lettuce wraps and the sasa roll… the... lettuce wraps were good but the sasa roll was phenomenal! Best sushi I’ve had in quite some time! The service was awesome, Idefinitely recommend a visit! Read more

We had a reservation and were promptly taken care of as we entered. The place was hella packed and we got the outdoor seatings.... The place was warm, cozy and the servers were friendly. Perfect friday night date spot here in East bay. We ordered their hotsake. The beef skewers, chicken meatballs and cauliflower tempura for appetizers. The beef skewers were fantastic. It justmelted in my mouth- so JUICYYY! The cauliflower tempura was something different to me- as I normally go for Shrimp tempura. Thiswas good as well. The chicken meatballs were so-so. Prolly because the rest of the food was AWWWMAZING! For the main course Iwent with the garlic beef steak and she went with sushi’s - Sasa and Tuna tempura. The steak was again ***** amaazing. Sheliked the Sasa much better than the Tuna tempura. Our overall experience was very good and would definitely be back. The vibehere is amazing!! Must try Read more

Friday night we got in on the couch by the window with the street view that was really nice. Pleasant greeting of welcoming... hosts and polite service explain the delay due to order backup. You can try some unite rolls here like “Walnut Creek” orcasual but not “Dragon”. Inspiring interior design gives you that cool lounge vibe. Thanks for the good times and will seeyou soon. Read more
