First and probably last visit. Food was awful, no engagement with staff preparing it, restaurant was dirty. I?d say go more... towards grains than greens, unless you want a mouthful of weed-like ?mixed greens? also quite miserly with the dressing to coverup all that ?lettuce?. No beverages except for canned or bottled whatever?s. I get it we?re anti-soda and healthy but how ?boutsome iced teas and lemonade. For my money I?ll go to Veggie Grill (I?m not even vegetarian) or spend a few dollars more for TrueFood and actually have a dining experience. I live in the sacramento region and drove over to meet a Bay Area friend of longstanding (who is vegan) for lunch and thought we?d give this a try. Read more
I?ve ordered on numerous occasions and each time this place doesn?t disappoint. I read some of the reviews which say something... about how high the price of $15 is for what you get. I can not disagree more with that. What can you buy in Walnut Creek for$15??? At this place you get a huge dish filled with a variety of fresh and healthy ingredients. If you went to a grocery storeto buy these ingredients you would pay a lot more. Shromami is my favorite!!! Please eat there! We need this place to stayopen!!! Read more
From the looks of the place figured it's something new in WC, so we decided to give it a try. To start with - excellent service... and that's what grabbed our attention. Don't know the name of the gentleman with cool tattoos - you are a star of this place! Noto the food quality: Kale Cesar bowl - kale and chicken nicely chopped, however salad leaves I couldn't wrap my fist in them.Giant and barely fit in my mouth. Slightly unpleasant. Excellent Garlicky dressing. Hot honey chicken plate - cool ingredients,although soggy and spicy hot for breastfeeding mommy. So be careful with that. Was greeted nicely into sweet greens when I got approached by a nice employee, she was so efficient with finishing a bowl I... really enjoyed. Thanks to her I will be coming here 3 times a week to try out new and improved bowls. Her name is Kiana she wasreally sweet and professional. Although Sweetgreen has just opened, I?ve already been here twice. The first time I made the mistake of ordering one of their... standard bowls and wound up throwing it away. Arugula is awful and the spicy dressing was so hot I couldn?t eat it. The secondtime I ordered the same bowl but substituted spring mix for the arugula and balsamic for the spicy dressing. Those two changesmade a huge difference and the bowl is something I could eat every day. I came across sweetgreen by chance today as I was walking to Veggie Grill for a salad. Honestly, I was googling Mixt to see if... there was one in Walnut Creek and quite literally ran into the glass wall of sweetgreen!! lol I saw the once empty glassbuilding humming with people so took a peek and lo and behold it was exactly what I was looking for! After scanning the menu Iordered the Guacamole Greens salad. I got the dressing on the side. At first I didn't know what to think because it looked a bitmeh but I was pleasantly surprised! It was really delicious and super fresh. I'll definitely be back even though they don't haveany kids menu options which is kind of annoying with a toddler in tow. Came here for the first time about an hour before closing. The menu looked great and wanted to try something refreshing on a... warm,summer evening. There was a few people in line and only one girl working the front(salad assembly and register) withseveral people(at least 6) in the back prepping online orders etc. With only 2 people in front of us I was surprised it tookover 30 mins to have our meals made. I could be wrong and the other employees could have all been busy but you would thinksomeone would have jumped in to help speed up the line. Summer(the girl who took our order) was great and apologized for thewait, she was running back and forth to get things done, she even let us choose substitutions for items they ran outof. So...this place prides themselves as fresh and clean and healthy...hmmm...they have a dog water bowl out front and EVERY TIME... I've walked by with my dog (3-4x a week for 3 months) the dog bowl is filthy and has dirty water in it...even after I went inand mentioned it. If this is outside their front door and dirty as all get out, what do you think their kitchen is like? Theyclearly don't care about their customers experience..... Read more
