First time here, within walking distance of the hotel I was staying at. It looked a bit out of place because it is in an... "industrialized area" but to my surprise it was very nice inside. I sat at the bar, Hugo and Michael were thebartenders/servers. Overall ambience was ok, though having children sitting nearby did detract from it a bit when the actualdining room had free tables. On order, appetizer: fried pickles, delicious w the house version of bayou sauce(spicy). After awhile the breading did begin to become less crunchy. Expresso martini was good and entree was the 12 ounce ribeye w garlic mash,fried onion strings and grilled asparagus. Steak came out at the correct temperature, mash and asparagus both very good. My family gathered for a very good meal on Sunday late morning at the Local in Waltham. Unfortunately, that evening my wife... reported she was missing a hearing aid. I called the Local in Waltham and spoke to Stacey. She was most caring and helpful. Shechecked the dining room, the bathroom, and even the parking lot where we had parked our cars. Sadly we did not find the hearingaid, the good news is Stacey. She is a great ambassador for The Local in Waltham and one heck of a good human being. Talk aboutbuilding customer loyalty! Had dinner here many times in the past during business trips to Waltham. Then recently again after a couple of years after the... lock down. The menu looks different with fewer choices. Food is still good. Had the seafood carasole. Good combo of differentseafood items in one meal. Party I was with had the other dishes in the photos and they too had good experience with thefood. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are in town and need to have a good dinner experience. Read more

Had a good dinner here and sat outside on their patio to enjoy some sunshine. The staff was very nice and attentive and the on... draft beer was cold along with having a variety to choose from. My burger was pretty good and the fries were great (pro move isto upgrade to truffle fries). Overall a good experience and we’ll be back again. Read more
Absolutely amazing place!! The food was some of the best I've had, and the service was fantastic. Our waiter was genuinely kind... and check in on us regularly, and I personally had quite a few nice conversations with him. Definitely deserves a huge raise.While I didn't catch his name, he had some very cool roman numeral tattoos, fingernails painted black, and a verywell-maintained mustache.
