Giacomo's is like a second home to our staff at Sapphire! When they heard that our nursing home would like to order food for... staff appreciation, they DID NOT hesitate to make amazing dishes! Been living in the area since September. Moved up here from Brooklyn. Only ordered from one other pizzeria since moving up here... (they shall remain nameless). We decided to give this spot a try and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a medium meatlovers...it was very tasty and delicious...this will definitely be the go to spot for pizza from now on. Ordered from Giacomos on a whim many years ago, and have been ordering here ever since, so felt I was overdue for a review! Out... of the 5 or so Giacomos locations, this one is my favorite (though all are very good). The counter staff and delivery guys arealways cordial, diligent and prompt with our orders, and food always arrives hot to our door when we get it delivered. Expectbusy Friday nights though, so order ahead! Dine-in atmosphere is upscale & spacious, great variety of tasty (and oversized)dinners & subs, and there?s tons of different pizza options?the thin crust gourmet topping pizzas are our personal favorites(spicy chicken ranch is best!) Over the years it seems like Giacomos has become a household name in the WappingersFalls/Poughkeepsie area, and they?ve definitely become a stand-out place amongst the otherwise bland ?typical small town?pizzerias & Italian restaurants in the area. They deserve their 2 ?Best in the Hudson Valley? titles for sure! A final thing tonote: the ability for me as a customer to see the pizzas being made in plain view by the pizza chefs (including the ownerhimself many times!) lends a great deal of confidence in the quality of the food, and truly reflects the noble & honest naturethat so many other restaurants lack! Been going here for years and the food has always been good. However, since the new pizza girl has officially come back, the... quality of the pizza has taken a giant leap forward. Keep up the great work everyone. Read more
Found piece of metal on the underside of my wife's pizza on 4/26 evening. Called immediately after and complained to manager.... Manager was a little apologetic and refunded my order after I requested but didn't get the impression it was taken superseriously based on our conversation. Never going back. Second issue I've had at this location. Had a previous issue a fewmonths ago where a few slices were ordered and were taking forever to come out. Turns out employee forgot take our order out oftry oven and it all burnt. Since it was later on in the evening the food couldn't be replaced without baking new pies fromscratch. Another employee gave a half assed apology (honestly even less than that) since the one who put our food in was nowhereto be found so we just left without them even offering something for wasting our time. Decent food but ruined by employees whodon't care. Read more
I ordered a Sicilian pie for delivery tonight. It got to me earlier than I thought. The delivery person was very nice. The pizza... was fresh, hot and DELICIOUS!!! These days everything costs a fortune but this pizza was very inexpensive and tasted like amillion bucks. I highly recommend. Read more
