I've been here twice. The first time I sat outside and had a salad. The salad was good. Lots of flies outside tho. Not... complaining but also not ideal. The second time I ordered the coconut teriyaki chicken. It was a Sunday early afternoon. Placewasn't busy. I'm pretty sure our waitress forgot to put our order in. We waited almost an hour for our food. I asked for justsweet potato fries and was also given some cold mashed something. I wasn't a fan of my dish but I was really hungry. I've heardgood things about this place but it wasn't my experience. It wasn't the worst but I don't think I'd return. Read more

Gateway to the Cape! This place is beautiful. If there is a seat on the back patio then take it! You get a breathtaking view of... some delightful marshland. Just be weary of the sun set, as it can get quite toasty on hotter days. I ordered a LemonchelloSpritzer, pictured below, and it was amazing. It had the perfect mixture of alcohol and fruit. For food I got my hands on theFresh Fried Haddock Sandwich. It is basically fish and chips, but in a bun. Their waffle fries were also cooked to perfection. Read more

Our family was highly disappointed with the overall service, long wait for food (49+mins after ordering) and hit-or-miss... taste/quality of food served. Although The Gateway was recommended for its selection of food - I think having such a large menucontributed to the inconsistent quality of and unacceptable length of time it took from kitchen to table. Once received,3-out-of-5 items needed to be warmed. I ordered JUMBO fried wings. They were your standard to smaller party-size wings, but agood serving size. The bruschetta pizza was overcooked, burnt in many areas, EXTREMELY dry and tough to chew. Not impressed. Inaddition, the chicken wings and fish-n-chips were over fried and dry as well. It's really a shame because the parmesan garlicsauce for the wings was quite flavorful and complimented the wings so well. You will definitely be impressed with the baby backribs. Two orders were placed and both were hot when served, flavorful, moist, tender, juicy and fell off the bone. An absolutefavorite out of all the dishes served. With the exception of being on the cooler side, my husband enjoyed his chicken parmesanwith linguine. Unfortunately, due to no cutlery provided, overcooked food, lack of server presence, inconsistent quality offood and an extremely long wait from entrance to placing our order to actually receiving food... 3?'s was given. Over 1hr on aMon eve with no waiting list is unacceptable. I think the Gateway has potential to be a really good restaurant... especiallyif the quality of food from the cooks to the servers can be improved. I think they are trying though. One last suggestion tothe hostess would be that you greet your customers upon arrival and departure. Being glued to your cellphone is notprofessional. Read more

Exceptional food, but slow service. I don’t recommend going if you’re in a rush. The food here is terrific. They have a... wonderfully diverse menu and very creative specials. They’re all delicious! Where they fall short is the service. Everyserver I’ve had has been great, but they always seem understaffed (not the servers fault). During our last lunch visit on aWednesday, it appeared as though there was one server for the entire restaurant, plus the bar tender. This was for both theoutside and inside dining areas. After you sit down, it generally takes about 15 minutes before a server comes to greet you. Irecommend ordering everything at once, because it’ll be about 20 minutes between visits. That being said, if you’re not ina rush, enjoy! Read more

I ate here with some friends and we shared some of the dishes, so it was fun to be able to taste several different items. The... lobster ravioli was delicious, but it was a little bit light on the actual ravioli. The pasta with mussels was probably myfavorite dish, I think it is either seasonal or it was a special the day we went in. The tuna poke was very good, but the ricewas just OK... keep in mind that of all of the ingredients in this item, the rice is probably the least important! Still worthmentioning though. Overall a very good experience! Read more

Haddock Sandwich Old English style was cooked perfectly, with flaky perfectly cooked fish. The coleslaw was great. Haddock Crab... Rangoon was a huge portion, with plenty of crab and cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive. Cocktail for theevening was the Berry Lime Rickey which kinda tasted like an adult Shirley Temple. Overall perfect evening. Read more

One of my favorite neighborhood jernts, as my cousin says. Sit at the bar and have Dee be your bartender. The food is always... fresh and tasty, nightly specials that sometimes freshen up old classics. 2 thumbs ???? Highly recommended. Read more

I have to say, I expected more. I ordered the fried chicken Mac and cheese and it tasted burnt. I’m not sure what it was but... it had a bad taste. I asked the waitress if I could have something else instead and she seemed annoyed. She also didn’t sayyou’re welcome whenever we said thank you. She didn’t introduce herself when she got to the table and we didn’t feel verywelcomed. We came from out of town because we saw that this place had pretty decent reviews, but I wasn’t impressed. Iswitched the Mac and cheese for the Alfredo flatbread and it was also just okay. Read more
