Went in right before 7 and no one was at the check-in booth so I sat down with my sons to wait. 10 minutes passed and still no... one came up. Two other couples were already seated in the waiting area before I arrived. Another couple arrived after I had beenwaiting and the lady came over to check them in within a minute. I stood behind them to be checked in and advised theolder(50-60) female employee that I had been waiting for 10-15 minutes already and I wanted to know how long the wait time todine in was. She rolled her eyes at me rudely and made it seem as if I had just walked in the door and was lying that I hadalready been waiting. I advised her that I sat down to wait because no one was at the check-in counter. She had a nasty attitudeso I advised her not to worry about it and we were leaving. I left and notified the manager of her behavior. It is not okay tomistreat clients who have been patiently waiting to be seated. He wanted me to return but I advised that I had no desire to goback after the way I was treated. That employee had no hospitality or respect for others. Read more
My husband ordered the 2 meat and paid extra to get brisket and this is what they gave him for $16.99. Not worth the money. ... Had good service but really the portion size is a joke and not worth the money Read more

I'm basing my review on my past 4 orders. The first three were through Waitr, this last one was through their website for... pick-up. They have NEVER been able to get the order right. Whenever I order dry rub ribs, they arrive sauced. I can request 2-4different types of bbq sauce (everyone in my house has different tastes) and they never include what's requested. This lasttime I ordered my ribs dry rubbed and requested original, smokey, and sweet bbq sauce. I received ribs with sauce on them andthe only bbq sauce that was sent was sweet. 12 packets of sweet bbq sauce to be exact. If you're looking to order take out ordelivery, I would highly recommend using a different restaurant, or be ready to go through every item you receive before leavingthe parking lot. Read more
We eat at this Sonny’s occasionally and it’s always good, but Monday June 20th was possibly the best tasting food there,... yet! I got the Sampler plate, and the ribs were the best I’ve had in years! My husband got the smoked Turkey breast, which ishis favorite. The service was good, I believe our server’s name was Elliot?? He did a great job. Our only issue withSonny’s, is that I believe they use seasonings with MSG. That sounds picky, and may not be an issue for many, but a few hoursafter we got home, my husband came in and said “I remember why we don’t go there often, I can feel the MSG!” Then it hitme a little after him. He gets a pins and needles feeling all over and heart fluttering, but for me my joints swell, and have toremove my ring. MSG is a widely used flavor enhancer, and is in many canned soups and processed foods. Many ‘seasoning’bottles also contain it. It’s not even legal I believe in much of Europe, and I wish it was done away with here also! Thatbeing said, I’m sure it’s typical in dry rubs and sauces so I’m not knocking Sonny’s for it, but perhaps they could lookinto changing seasoning brands? For most, ignorance is bliss! I’ve eaten at Sonny’s over the years, but man, have the years been unkind to this place. Ordered the tater tot appetizer,... which was literally unseasoned tater tots and barely any BBQ sauce. Pretty disappointing. Followed by my Big Deal brisket thatwas cold. My families food was also cold once it got to the table, and my daughters burger was burnt on one side. The wait staffwere great, as usual which is why my rating is 2 stars instead of one. The garlic bread and side salad were really the onlyappetizing thing that hit the table. We got to-go boxes because hopefully reheating the food at home will salvage our $54.00meal. I was surprised on a Saturday night to find so many open tables, but not I understand why no one is here.
