I have been going here for years. The food is good however the restrooms are dirty. Definitely in need of an upgrade!!

Update to previous review: We did venture back to Yamato's for a dinner. There was a new chef and he prepared the best meal... we've ever had there. He took his time and prepared the food to perfection. I'm raising the review to 3 stars from 1 as aresult. Cannot raise to 4 or 5 stars due to the prices and the lack of soft drink and ice refills. (And the hand written signabout the refill policy) We have been going to this restaurant frequently over the years and have loved the food. However,haven't been there for a year until this previous Sunday. The prices have increased by 40-50% over the past few years. Alsonoticed a hand written sign that stated no more free refills on soft drinks, and no glasses of ice would be provided. We sat forabout 10 minutes after being seated and decided to leave. The significant price increases, notice on no soft drink refills andno cups of ice finally pushed us to the point to give up on this restaurant. The experience and the quality of the food does notmatch the prices they now charge. Read more

Overpriced slop. I have seen good hibachi and this certainly isn't it. First off the cost is easily double if not triple quality... hibachi restaurants. Sadly the quality of the food is quite substandard. So it's pathetic to expect people to pay a premiumprice and then deliver disgusting food. Not to mention the nickel and diming on everything. Refills cost extra, extra yum yumsauce costs extra. It's just sad that you can go to other restaurants in order the exact same food and be good if not excellentget more and pay 1/2 to 1/3 of the price that this joke of a restaurant charges. Not to mention the fact when you pull into theparking lot it looks like it's been condemned. But at the price they're charging maybe it's soon will be. Read more

Yamato's is my favorite hibachi restaurant of any that I've been to. My friends always meet up here as a halfway point between... CLE and PGH and we are always happy with the food. Highly recommend. Read more

Food was nasty. Customer service was terrible. Will NEVER be back. Definitely not what it used to be. Blaming the customer for... nasty food. Made me pay for a meal that was completely gross. Considered giving it to my dog but might’ve upset her stomach.No idea how this place is even in business. Can head out to mizu for way less money and extremely better experience. Hopefullythey shut down soon they can’t rob many more people. Just a reminder that this restaurant is disgusting. Read more

A little overpriced for what it is, in my opinion. The building looks abandoned from the front and that was a little off-putting... (park in the back,) also the run down garden looking area in the back, if it was maintained I would go back just to eat in thegarden.. The food was good but I've had better hibachi and wait staff/chefs in the past. We only went because Mizu was closed..It's actually been over 5 years since I've been there because my last experience wasn't fantastic either. Read more
