YOU NEED TO EAT HERE! Lucked out and got there 6 minutes before they opened. We took our place in line excited to... dine. Pierogies! Pub burger is the best burger I've ever tasted! Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken loomed delicious. Read more

This restaurant is all right. The chips in the fish and chips were really good. The fish, was ok. Was able to eat that thanks to... the Bang Bang sauce that we got on the side. The seafood chowder would have been good if not for all that salt! The Bang Bangshrimp was pretty good. The pasta dish we got lacked salt and flavor. Had to pour some chowder on top of that and mix in someBang Bang sauce to eat it. Our friends who got another pasta dish and the Seafood risotto said both of those dishes lacked saltas well and after adding salt, they said the dishes were good. Read more

It's definitely a diamond in the rough because of the location in the PA mtns. Food is outstanding, service is great and prices... are good especially considering the quality of the food. Definitely recommend calling ahead for reservations, unless you like toeat earlier (3 to 5). Read more

Pretty awful. Unfortunately, extremely disappointing. Walked In before what I?m assuming was the dinner rush, wasn?t that busy,... my group was surprised being a holiday weekend. Most of the food was cooked incredibly poorly?chicken in the nachos wasblackened, charred, almost inedible. 4 delmonicos, all you could taste was char throughout. Disgusting. The french onion chickenwas also blackened/charred. Received the wrong pasta than ordered. The fries were soggy, soaked in oil, and tasted like theocean; incredibly salty. Absolutely not worth it for the price, and for the incredibly excessive price some of us finished ourmeals, reluctantly. Others did not. Had to ask/repeat things multiple times to receive them. The absolute highlight of the mealwas the bear-claws that we ordered. The worst part was trying to get our bill. After bringing the ipad over to separate checks, and saying she ?would see if they printed correctly,? she returned two more times with incorrect bills.. spent more time waitingto pay than we did ordering and eating. After mentioning the poor quality, we?re told that since they were incredibly busy thatday a char built up on the grill. Haven?t heard that one before. As more tables began to fill I genuinely felt bad and hopedtheir food would be better. As a first timer myself, I felt worse that my group kept apologizing because of the poor qualitysince they go often, swearing it never usually was like this. Even hours after we left they regretted the amount paid forterrible food and sub par service..Hope they can turn things around!!! Read more

Was very busy on Friday evening but thankfully had reservations. Waitress was helpful and efficient taking our order and... answering questions about the menu. Food was delicious and plentiful, from the onion ring appetizer, to the chicken parm. Theseafood risotto was a real winner too, ???? yummy. Reasonable prices as well. FYI prime rib is available on Saturdays. Woulddefinitely go back to this restaurant. Parking is a bit of a problem (not enough of a lot so end up parking on the street) butthe restaurant is back in off the main highway so ok, deal. Heard they also serve boar, elk and other game, but saw none on themenu. Didn't have any wine or liquor so can't speak to that either. Read more

My husband and I stopped in after a day of kayaking on the Allegheny and we were starving! What a fantastic gem of a place! The... service was incredible! Our server was training a new employee and both of them were so nice and attentive. I wish I couldremember their names to give them the credit they deserve. The food was awesome! We had the Italian nachos as an appetizer andthey were absolutely delicious! I had the chicken parmigiana and he had chicken strips. Both were GIANT portions and well worththe money. The red sauce on mine was some of the best I?ve ever had! Definitely check out their cocktails too! The sangria andDirty Arnold Palmer were very tasty! Can hardly wait to stop in again and try more! When we arrived it was 7ish..They had three large dinner reservations and where not taking walk-ins at this time. The waitress... was kind enough to ask us if we were close by so she could make reservations for us. I told her unfortunately it was our lastnight in PA we came from Canada to stay in the area and eat at Forester on our last night. We did research on tripadvisor andwe're excited about this unique place and experience. After hearing our story the waitress was able to get approval to have ussqueezed in for the last dinner. We could not have been more thankful for the kindness that was shown. We had the stuffedmushrooms, chicken wings and a salad with Candi pecans, goat cheese and strawberry all very delicious. Best advice, call aheadand book a reservation. Thanks again Forester for making our trip to PA that much memorable. Read more
