Could be one of the Best for miles. The food is amazing everything screams YUM! Problem is the only seating the have is picnic... tables, and if you do not fit in picnic tables that is a big problem. The BBQ is some of the best I've ever had, do not missout on the KC slaw its amazingly vinagerly perfect. If they had at least one normal table I would give 5 stars. Delicious meat that falls off the bone. Not dry in my opinion, also not spongy moist. Meat pulls apart from itself like you'd... expect if it had been boiled for hours before roasting, giving it the taste of BBQ. BBQ sauce for dipping could use a littleimprovement as it is very strong in its flavors. Mustard one tasted too much like yellow mustard, not enough like BBQsauce. Not impressed enough I would return. Ribs and chicken were definitely old and microwave reheated. When a restaurant advertises... award winning food, they should serve award winning food. Cleaning in dining area and bathrooms definitely lacking. Just overalldisappointed. Read more
Went in late afternoon midweek. We were the only people dining in but they were getting plenty of phone orders. Got the loaded... fries which were really tasty. The pulled pork was the star of the show, the fries were hot and covered in toppings. The nachocheese is like the kind you'd get at a basketball game, definitely a processed cheese product but it is delicious in thiscontext. We also got some meat platters. The ribs were perfectly cooked, fall off the bone, and bursting with flavor even beforeputting on the sauce. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. The sausage was smokey and peppery, not my favorite of our meatselections but I'm not much of a sausage person. I'm not sure if the baked beans are made in house but they were good. The cornbread was so light and fluffy and moist, it didn't need butter. We also got the potato salad and coleslaw which were good. Thehomemade pickles were a nice treat. If you like dry bbq then this is your place. Everything I got was extremely dry. No sauce. Not even in a container on the side.... I had to put some from the refrigerator on it so it wasn't so dry, which didnt help much. Ive never had ribs that were dry untilnow. Nothing really had a taste , it all just tasted the same like wood smoke. The Cole slaw was ok it's a vinegar slaw. Thebeans weren't anything special. I wouldn't recommend it. There are other places around that are better. Check out the one inMarienville, PA there usually pretty good. Atleast the times I've had it they have been. Read more
No wonder this places won so many awards. The meat falls off the ribs. The puked pork is tasty, juicy, and savory. The sausage... is perfect. The brisket is the best part! Mouthwatering, juicy, fisher licking good! The bbq sauces are fantastic but honestlythe meats are so good, they don?t need. Open seasonally so double check that it?s open. Worth the stop! Read more
The only place to go for BBQ! Always worth the scenic ride from Erie just for Hog Wild BBQ. Seating inside, seating outside or... to go. Restrooms available. Always clean, friendly and efficient. Super clean restaurant. Very friendly staff! The brisket and the nachos were so delicious! And I even ordered there Piedmont... sauce to go because it tastes exactly like the sauce when I lived in North Carolina!
