Gave this place a try and was disappointed. My caffe mocha tasted like vanilla chai. We ordered a muffin and a scone to be... toasted. It took 20 minutes and people who came after us received their food before us. Seems like they forgot our order. Itwasn't busy when we ordered. Young staff was very nonchalant about our displeasure. Cute place right on the water. Friendly and very helpful staff. Coffee and many bakery items available. Crepes are great here.
Cafe Water Street has great food, and all the staff (which is almost entirely female) are very nice. The atmosphere is pleasant,... so long as the owner isn't there. I'm a big fan of the crepes. That said, the owner is extremely unprofessional and makes boththe customers and staff uncomfortable. He constantly berates and belittles the girls, who are almost exclusively under the ageof 21, that work for him, and has talked down to customers, including myself, on multiple occasions. I've come here from time totime for a couple of years, and this has consistently been the case. Personally, I think there are better places to spend mymoney than putting it in the pockets of an owner like that. There are plenty of places nearby that I'd recommend for coffeebefore this one, and a fresh crepe is only 5 minutes away. Read more
We went twice during a recent visit to Warren (both mornings of our stay). Wonderful crepes, wonderful scones, great coffee,... really friendly staff! A couple different areas to sit outside, including a super cute patio area and a covered porch area thatworked perfect for a drizzly morning! Plus, there's parking! (And fantastic smells from the kitchen if you sit on the porch.)Highly recommend. Read more
