We went there yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The place was busy, which was nice to see. However front staff and the older... gentleman roving the restaurant floor made it a point to be very short with us. Thanks for making it a welcoming environment! Wereserved a table for 6 but we had a last minute cancel with one of our guests that couldn?t join us. Instead of the staff justgiving us the 6 person table they crammed a party of 5 into a small corner with a make stiff table configuration. Meanwhile the6 person table was left open the entire night until we were about to leave. I will tell you they did fill the 6 person tableeventually, but it was with 4 people, cause that makes sense. When asked about switching, the roving older gentleman waved meoff by saying ?we have a lot of important reservations today?! Thanks! I guess the reservation I made didn?t matter. Food wasokay, 3 out of 5 for the price. Our waitress was great and knew exactly when to check on us. Overall it wasn?t a bad experiencebut could?ve been better. Read more

Can?t beat homemade pasta and sauce! Using a gift card is nice too.. it makes the food taste better

We've been going to Il Pizzaiolo- Warrendale for several years and have always had the best service, delicious food, and great... ambience. We held our daughter's bridal shower in the private upper seating area and it couldn't have been any better! Highlyrecommend. And a bonus...a beautiful outside patio if you like to dine al fresco! We have been trying to try rgis place for a while. The original location is closed, not sure why. Renovations? This location is... doing 1000% more business? No clue. Food was really good. It's hard to find an Italian place that can stand out from all theothers. Lesley had eggplant parm. She hates places that have thick slices of eggplant. Nice and thin here. I had lasagna. Nicesize peice and flavorful. One gripe I had. We had a desert glass of Pinot Noir. It was amazing. Went to the local store to buyand we can't get it. So I will have to buy from the winery or be wi e drunks and live here and give them all my money buyingbottles... lol the waitress kindly brought over the bottle to show me what it was. This is also a great place to see some nicecars in the parking lot. So car watching is a plus! Read more

Staff was very nice. Food is overpriced and tasteless. Nice presentation, but my food had literally no flavor and this was $31... for a side salad portion of noodles and a few cubes of bland chicken. My husband got chicken marsala and it was literally 2pieces of chicken. Period. $26. Read more

Went there as part of a large party, so while the food took a while, my rating does not take that into account as I didn't think... it would be fair to drop any stars because of the size of our party. Just wanted to put that out there for anyone else goingwith a group larger than 12. We ended up trying the calamari, the roasted veggie, and the fried zucchini appetizers. Thecalamari was pretty good and seasoned well and the accompanying sauce was good. The roasted veggies were hit and miss. Therewere some ice cold mushrooms that were not very good, the carrots were fine, the pickled cauliflower was tasty, but the restwere cold on the plate and unappealing. The fried zucchini tasted like it did not have any seasoning on it at all. It wasserved with some marinara which was fine. For entrees, we got the papardelle with mushrooms and the cream sauce which was verycheesy and was pretty good. Strongly recommend it! We also got the chicken Parm, and the breaded chicken was still juicy andtasted absolutely great. The accompanying spaghetti with the chicken parm was less than stellar. The noodles were fine, butthe red sauce on the spaghetti was just not good. You do get two very large pieces of chicken though, so at some point in thefuture I may order it again just for the chicken. Overall, it was a decent place and I would recommend it if you're interestedin exploring a new Italian place. Read more

I got the Paglia E Fieno and my husband got the Linguine Vongole. We were both so happy with our food! Mine was definitely a... creamier dish, which is what I wanted, while my husband's was more on the lighter side, which is also what he wanted. The onlydown side was that the clams were pretty small compared to pictures that we saw online. It still tasted great though! Read more
