The food was really good, probably the best soul food I've had since moving to Cleveland. I'm North Carolina born and raised so... I know good soul food. Be prepared for a possible wait. We went on a Sunday, a very busy day, and there was only 1 serverworking. Not sure if this was due to call outs or poor planning. We were seated in about 5 minutes but it was about an hourbefore we received our food. The 1 server did an amazing job of keeping everyone serviced, she made it pleasant despite thewait. Great food and service, i ordered the surf and turf and despite being in a group of 40 people they brought my meal faster than i... expected! My steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned very well! My shrimp was delicious just s bit overcooked but the steak wasso good that it made up for the shrimp being overcooked. I ordered some drinks from the bar and that took quite a bit of time toget them, it was quicker just ordering them from the bar and not through my server. This was my first time here and most definitely my last time !!!!!! Had went for lunch ,wasted my entire lunch waiting on lunch... and was very disappointed,The older lady stated everything was homemade.. That’s funny cause the Greenbeans has no type ofturkey in it,the Mac and cheese is very watery and the Orange roughy was cooked in old grease!!!!! Never Ever again…. Been patronizing this place since it first opened and always enjoyed the atmosphere. The service has declined in the last 6-9... months, however I decided to dine in a few times hoping things improved. As of my last time ordering food, I will neverpatronize again. After picking up my order, I got home which is 20 mins away to discover macaroni full of raw snd broken eggshells throughout it. Mistakes happen, so I call to look for them to resolve and provide a refund. I took pictures and over thephone they tell me to drive back to remake the food.. which is unacceptable. I was told the manager would call back but shenever did. The next day I happen to be in the area but I called again hoping someone would assist.. I call and got the voicemailso I decided to stop by. The manager comes out and says “oh I heard what happened but I can remake but no refund. I say,Whowants food from a restaurant that has raw, broken, harmless and choking hazards in their food? She didn’t care and argued withno logic.. I showed pictures and she handled the situation poorly. It’s unfortunate because I am sure the owner would ofaddressed it differently. It’s unfortunate but I hope they hire a new team to keep this place from going under.. down tothose who just answers the phone unprofessionally. My first time visiting. They had the live band "Cream of the Crop" entertaining us. They were awesome????. The food was good. I... ordered the fried pork chop dinner with Mac n cheese and yams as the sides, with a piece of corn bread. The pork chops were a 71/2 out of 10. But those sides were 11 out of 10. The drinks were pretty good. Our server was excellent. She was Johnny on thespot with everything. She was friendly, polite, had a lot of patience, very engaging. Came here as a recommended spot to eat since I'm from out of town. I was in the mood for some fried fish and they did not... disappoint. The perch was fresh and seasoned nicely, I had to get the mixed vegetables since their greens were cooked in pork.While I was disappointed about the greens, the veggies were surprisingly good. The highlight was the pecan sweet potato pie!!!I had to close my eyes with every single bite, yes it was that good!! Not too sweet and it was served warm. My wife mother and I had a Horribly long wait for food. Waitress was on her job. But we waited for an hour before when she came... out with only one plate. Wonderful! Dayva was a pleasure! We all were strangers and from all different areas, but she set a vibe that made it so we all... became friends.
