Ordered takeout yesterday for my parents' anniversary dinner. Absolutely the worst calamari I have ever seen. The segments were... huge - calamari should use younger squid with more flavor - and the breading was completely soaked and soggy. It was also coldas the fries, mussels and clams were all a good temperature when we started eating and the calamari was very much not. I don'teven blame the chef. It was cooked nearly perfectly - the meat was delicate and not rubbery - but I do blame the recipe and thecooking priority for an over breaded, cold, soggy mass of squid. Went to grab lunch today and ordered the calamari and mussels in red. After receiving the order I felt completely ripped off... with the portions of food. For 18 dollars an order I expected alot more than what was provided. Definitely not the old chickiesI grew up eating. That is a full order of mussels after I shelled them. Read more
New to this area, and this restaurant already felt like home as soon as we stepped in the doors. We played trivia, hadn't played... in ages, and had an enjoyable time. Food came out quick and hot. My daughter tried the shrimp burger and enjoyed it, although itwas much for her tackle. Read more
Within the past week I visited twice. My first visit, my party of 6 on a Monday came in 2 hours before closing and was treated... with the utmost respect. Amazing staff and very tentative. However, the food is very lack luster. Crab fries, the cheese steak,and buffalo chicken sandwich was obviously thrown together extremely quick. We received the crab fries for our table less than 3minutes after ordering, which was a huge surprise, but they were stone cold. One of my party members who had ordered the buffalochicken sandwich was disappointed to see frozen spicy chicken strips slapped into a roll, and yet again stone cold. My secondvisit, my party of 3 on a Thursday came in around 2 hours to closing again. This time the food was actually hot! The fluctuationof quality here is seen from a mile away. Decided to order dinner here through a delivery app. Food was cold and tasteless. The fries were ice cold and stale. Since its... delivery I guess its my fault even though they were quick and had it in an insulated bag. The "buffalo" chicken cheesesteak wasthe worst. No buffalo sauce at all, chicken was dry and burnt on the edges. Old celery just thrown in to a paper bag not evenwrapped up. Place is usually not bad but I don't know what happened on this particular day. So sad. Read more
