Was real excited to see a Nostalgic Classic salad bar! fresh veggies with amazing potato salad, macaroni salad and cole slaw.... Silver Lake Family Restaurant. This was my forth time visiting this restaurant. Twice to pickup food and twice dining in. Both... times I picked up ?orders to go? the fries were soft and wilted. The indoor dining experience was better. The wait staff seemedfriendly. The dining area was well maintained. The menu is quite large focusing primarily on lunch items, followed by breakfastserved all day, and then dinner. In my opinion, if you have a large menu it?s more difficult to make everything well. Parking was easy and it was right along our route. We were greeted and seated promptly by a nice young man. Our server, Tammy,... quickly came to take our drink orders and then was very helpful with food suggestions. She checked in frequently. She always hada smile. Food was good. I wish this restaurant were closer to my home, it would be one of my go-tos. They had a large menu, with so many choices that... all sounded good. It was hard to decide what to order. Very homely restaurant with friendly, efficient waitstaff. The food was fairly priced and delicious! Cakes are sold whole or by... slices from a vitrine at the entrance, and there is what had been a salad bar, now displaying cheeses for purchase. The bathroomis clean, and there is plenty of paved parking, including at an extension across Perry Avenue. In November 2021 Larry Sharpestopped here during his campaign for NY Governor. Read more
