My wife and I stopped by on the way back from the beach today and I wanted to express my appreciation to the team there. The... meal was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff was impeccable in their uniforms to include the manager who was also graciousin thanking us for our business and wishing us a great rest of our day. Great job! Read more
We have eaten here at least 50 or more times. You recently had a very tall gentleman who was the manager. He was on top of... everything. Even cleaned tables and did everything he asked his employees to do. Super guy but we understand he got burnedout. Since he left the place has REALLY REALLY gone down hill. We stopped there yesterday. There were at least 7 tables thatwere not being occupied but were dirty. The potato salad wasn?t the same as before and we asked for half and half tea and gotsweet. The BBQ was ok but our sandwich was cold. My husband asked to speak to a manager and he came out and asked if he couldhelp. He told him about the dirty tables and he said he get someone to take care of it. He went back in the back and sent a kidout who only cleaned 3 tables off. Right off Interstate 40, we walked into a super clean restaurant where the staff were very friendly. The food was great! We had... the pork BBQ . The meat had a wonderful flavor without the sauce and even better with the sauce. The staff exceeded customerservice expectations. Tina was so nice and proud of her store and fellow team members. It was raining when we left. Have youever seen an employee walk you to your car with an umbrella? OMG such service. They did this for anyone who wanted it. Always a great spot for Eastern style BBQ. My wife says she likes their chicken better than any other fast food restaurant in... the area. The hush puppies are small enough to dip into the little butter tubs they give you, and they always have extra vinegarsauce on the table. I like the idea that all Smithfield's have a sink to wash your hands right next to the ordering counter. Theservice in this location was great the day we were there. Lots of folks working behind the counter, and our order was brought toour table quickly. Read more
Smithfield?s has always been fairly good, but they are cutting way back on portion size. When I first started getting value... packs the bag of fries would be over full, now they are not even half full. It?s to bad for them that at this location, they?reis a lot of other options to chose from. Cookout is a lot cheaper and you get a lot more food for your money. I will be goingthere from now on. The best bbq, fried chicken, and sweet tea around! Everytime we come from Virginia we stop on the way to our vacation so we will... have a pint of bbq and chicken to eat on for the duration of our vacation then we stop and get more on the way back home! Theyhave great family dinner deals and it's hands down the best! I remember eating Smithfield bbq as a teen and 15 years later it isstill the best! Great service and exceptional food! Read more
Smithfield's is known for its southern flavors. From feeding entire families to a quick snack on the road they are sure to... delight. I personally love the BBQ with slaw and their sweet tea. The only complaint is the service is not the fastest comparedto other restaurants I have visited. Read more
