We have been going to Relish for years and have always enjoyed our meals while recommending the restaurant to friends and having... family gatherings there. Last night while having a date night with my wife Julie Smith we came home highly disappointed. Wespent 120.00 dollars including only one beer. The Rockfish I ordered was extremely bland, the green beans were not edible andthe pound cake we brought home for dessert was extremely dry. Very good service. Good drinks but the food was so disappointing. I had the Yellow fin Tuna special. Tuna was very good quality... and cooked rare as I requested. The seasoning on the tuna and rice was lovely but everything was cold. Not just lukewarm. As ifthe plate had been sitting around for quite some time. My husband had the Shrimp and Grits. Shrimp were perfectly cooked but thegrits were dry and lumpy and, again, the whole plate was cold. Didn't want to send the plates back and risk the seafood beingovercooked. A minor point, we requested the salad with dressing on the side. It came already dressed but still very good.Thiswas not representative of our prior dinners at Relish. Hopefully, just an off night but quite expensive nonetheless. Read more

Wonderful service. Very prompt and friendly. An employee was shucking oysters as I entered. Lovely decor, very atmospheric. I... had the crostini, 2 different jalapeño margaritas, and the sliders. Everything was great. The little burgers were absolutelydelicious. Toasted buns, pimento cheese, pickled onions. Every element of each dish was very well prepared and presented. I wasespecially impressed that when I asked the waitress for no bacon on my burgers she asked if I wanted to have my salad withoutham, as well. Very thoughtful and pleasant. I got a slice of banana pudding cheesecake for takeaway. I've not tried it yet, butit looks lush and is apparently made by one of the waitresses. Really gorgeous little spot, highly recommended. Relish knocks it out of the park every single time! The food is so delicious, and this is coming from someone who lives in a big... city and has traveled the world. Carol and her team are truly something special. Every dish I?ve tried is incredible. The shrimp& grits is a classic, the chicken pot pie is uniquely prepared and so delicious, the meatloaf is southern and savory, thecrawfish linguine is mouthwatering, the steak is local and tender, and the oysters relish is the best version of oysterRockefeller I have ever, ever had.
