Certainly impressed with this location. Very clean. My husband and I were broken down and had to spend some time here while... waiting overnight to be able to leave. The deli were quick and courteous getting our order prepared. The cashier, Janice, wasvery nice. While sitting at the tables eating our pizza and taking our time as we had no where to be; in the afternoon I noticedmany customers come in and out of the store and she greeted nearly all of them by name and they did the same when they came in.It was refreshing to see such kind service adding to the charm of this little town. Every time I stop in, I am impressed by the selection and friendly staff. The bathroom is always clean. The store itself is... always clean. LOVE the iced coffee and frozen coffee options... lots of breakfast options. Biscuits and gravy for only $2.50ishis delicious! If you happen on a day when they have fresh cinnamon rolls, get one! Miserable experience every time! Each time I have had to stop at the Casey's gas station in Washington, KS for food it is a... 15min+ wait just to place your order and another 10min+ to receive it. It doesn't matter if the line is short or long, the staffbehind the deli counter will ignore you while they carry on about their other tasks extremely slowly or with no sense ofurgency. I'm not one to write negative reviews, but the constant bad service (or lack thereof) has become hard to ignore.Particularly the woman charged with the deli service is the most miserable to deal with. She has no bedside manner to speak ofand treats all customers as annoyances. Regardless, if you are short staffed or not, customers should still be awknowleged andwaited on in some reasonable time frame.
