The service and atmosphere are outstanding here. The drinks were great. I feel as if this place is riding on the coattails of... what it was before?food-wise. I throw better food on the table on a Tuesday night. Everything was highly salty?and I?m onethat likes more salt. I still tasted salt the next day. I did not find an oyster in the saddle angels. I have to give it tothe chef that can cook a half-inch ribeye and still have pink in the middle. I?m guessing they breathed on it. When I scrapedthe topping off, it was grey underneath?no pan-fried crust?not appetizing to me in any way. I ate two bites and asked for thecheck. I have many 5 star reviews out here. It pains me to give a bad review. I would be willing to try this place again, ifthey can remember it takes more than great atmosphere and service to be a great restaurant. This is our FAVORITE place! I can't believe how reasonably priced the menu items are considering how much food you get AND how... high quality it is! The bartender also makes a MAGICAL raspberry lemon drop too! We have never been unsatisfied. We're alwaysblown away with our experience. The bread pudding is the icing on the cake! I will first say that I did love the atmosphere. My family went on a Friday night at about 5:45p and there was a thirty minute... wait...not bad. The staff, when you first walk in, was friendly enough. I ordered the Redfish Lafourche and it came with potatoof choice and honey glazed carrots...the dish gets 5 stars. My husband ordered the Seafood Au Gratin which was excellent. Mycomplaint is regarding the kids shrimp. My 8 year old ordered this and he received 3 shrimp, fries, and a bread roll.???? Thisdish is 7 dollars. I feel this is way overpriced. He had to share with my 5 year old who received 2 corn dogs and surelycouldn't finish his dish on his own. I asked the waitress about this thinking it must be a mistake and she gave me theimpression that this wasn't the first complaint on this kid's dish. The other kids dishes that we ordered were properlyportioned for the price: 2 corn dogs and the kid's chicken tenders. I am giving 3 stars because of the Kid's dish...I can'twrap my head around the portion for that price. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms appetizer which was fantastic. Read more
We are so grateful to the staff of the Steamboat for making our wedding day so very special. They went above and beyond to... create an enjoyable after ceremony dining experience. Our waiter, his name escapes me in the chaos (Tyler?), was so excellent.He handled our entire party with speed, efficiency, and friendly service.
