We have been dining at the Bank for four years and usually, have enjoyed our dinners. However the last few times we dined there,... and particularly last evening, the noise level has been so loud that it is pretty much impossible to talk with others at thetable. The majority of noise seems to come from the bar area. although some guests seem to feel free to wonder amongst otherdiners. We will be not be taking guests to the Bistro as we did last night nor dine there again until things change. Read more

My husband and I came in around 6 on a Thursday evening (August 18th to be exact) and were promptly seated and then promptly... forgotten about. Our server (a male, I don't remember his name), brought us menus and said he would bring us some water while welooked at the drink menu and then never came back. We watched him get another table AFTER we were seated and he brought theirwaters, their drinks from the bar, and took their food orders and completely ignored us. We just eventually got up and walkedout. He lost out on a $200 bill that night as we went elsewhere down the street and ordered drinks, dinner, and dessert. Thereare fortunately plenty of other great restaurants in this area that want our business so we don't plan to return to thisone. Side note, the ambience in there is terrible. Blasting pop music and there is nothing in there to deaden the noise sopeople have to shout to hear each other resulting in a very loud, unpleasant atmosphere. If people are paying $50 + per platethey expect more. Read more

The food and the service were great. The drinks tended to be on the strong side so if you like the mixers as much as the... alcohol, you may not like the drinks. However, if you want the alcohol more than the mixer, this is definitely the place. Do notcome here if you don't have a lot of time. This is not a standard quick in and out restaurant like a Chili's. You come here whenyou are out on a nice evening. We were there for over an hour and a half and there were people still there from before we gotthere. Again, it's not a fast place. And that's fine. You just need to know that going in. As for the food, we had the bluecheese artichoke dip. It was phenomenal. I don't even like blue cheese or artichokes and I couldn't stop eating this stuff. Theyuse a deep fried Italian bread as the item to dip and that was unbelievably great. I ordered the filet and it was excellent Mywife got the pork chop and it was really good. For my drink I got the old fashioned. You could taste the bourbon, but not thecherry and orange flavorings that were supposed to be mixed with it. As I said above, if you like the drink strong, you'll likeit. The only drawback/negative I could give is that if you want a quiet evening, this is not the place for that. You are in anold bank here. It's basically one room, everybody close together including those at the bar, with no sound reduction. The wallsare concrete so every sound just bounces around. It is very loud. You can sit outside though if you want. The drink, a Coke, theappetizer and the two entrees came to about $125. All in all a great restaurant. Make a reservation if you can or you may notget in. We didn't have one but we got lucky as they had an open table. Read more

Ok so The Bank has been one of my and my boyfriend?s favorite date night spots for over a year. The food is always amazing, the... atmosphere is classy yet cozy, service is top notch too. But our server tonight- Prue- really went above and beyond. Imentioned how hot it was in the restaurant (no one?s fault, the heat is just ridiculous in NC this time of year) and he broughtout a fan just for our table!!! It was so considerate and really made our evening just that much more enjoyable. We willcontinue to make this our date night staple. Thanks to the whole staff for making it such a wonderful dining experience ! Read more

The Calamari was very fresh along with the fried oysters as an appetizer.. our meals consisted of the crab cakes with asparagus... and shallots and the blackened grouper for my wife. Our waiter provided great service. We went for our wedding dinner last yearand our anniversary today. See you next year. Read more

Food was spot on, service was impeccable! We started with a bread basket and salted honey butter. That bite of salt contrasting... with the honey was unexpected. We shared the charcuterie board and hubby had shrimp bisque which he raved on. I enjoyed all ofthe charcuterie and got to try some things I wouldn?t normally eat. We both had prime rib entrees, seasoned and seared on bothsides at our request. It was the best prime rib I?ve ever had! Husband didn?t even use the au jus or horseradish! The potatoesand Brussels sprouts were exceptional too. We were there on New Years Eve and they had a violin soloist providing dinner musicwho was delightful! Anne was our server and she was fantastic and so personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Read more

Make reservations and enjoy this lively and vibrant atmosphere that offers great food along with it. The food did not lack in... any flavor and the drinks were perfection. Short ribs were tender and rich and the shrimp and grits weren't lacking in anything.Only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because it could have been a little less sauce in the shrimp and grits because it tookaway from the great grit texture we love. Also too much inedible fat on the short ribs. Could have been trimmed a little betterfor a better eating experience. With that being said, I would frequent again and enjoy those bold flavors The Bank offers whenI'm back in town. Read more
