The ramen noodles had great texture, and the broths had a ton of flavor. The super spicy is super spicy but not to much were you... can't eat. The musubi was good and had a lot of rice. Read more

As someone who grew up in Hawaii, We are always down for some good “local” foods. Saw this spot, decided to give it a try &... here is our thoughts: Definitely fusion Hawaiian ???? but good enough for east coast… Spam musubi- sauce a bit toosalty Yakisoba - a bit too sweet Kalbi steak - can leave in marinate a bit longer Volcano wings - don’t order, way too salty, too saucy Ribs - not hawaiian at all ????but super tasty Fries - so so Butter mochi - on point Redbean ice cream- 5 star Locomoco burger - not Hawaiian, sorry if you call it loco moco it needs to be on rice, otherwise is a burger & sauce is toochunky Poke - fresh, tasty, even though sauce is not Hawaiian, but pretty good Big island cocktails- strong , tasty , cancompete with local Long Island ice tea ???????? Mugtail - super yummy Overall, do recommend, not authentic Hawaiian, but greatatmosphere, fun setting, attentive service. Give props to the effort owner put into this restaurant. Read more

Great place to stop for a quick bite and great drink menu too. I had fresh poke style bowl and spam musubi and it was delicious,... also my first time eating spam mssubi and it’s worth the trip to try. I can’t wait to go back for some noodle bowls.Everything is a great price here too from $4-10$ there are many choices. Read more

This place is so amazing for happy hour! Great servers and yummy apps. Haven’t had their regular menu, but everything I have... tried on the hh menu has been bomb for the price. Also, all day hh on Saturday and Sunday for drinks. People complain in reviewsabout portion size, but let’s be honest, you’re not at Applebees. For DC, this is a great spot. Read more

Came into Hatoba almost near the close of lunch. Ordered a poke bowl and WOW WOW WOW it was quite delicious and a superior... portion size. We were lucky enough to meet Marvel, who owns/operates and chatted about music and travel and food. He was soapproachable and friendly! I randomly talked about musubi and he had some freshly made! It was so amazing to eat such agreat. I highly recommend eating here for a new cuisine you may have never tried or something that is delicious every time. Read more

This was the worst service I’ve had in quite a while. Very confused, inattentIve, and they auto-grat everyone with a 22%... service charge. There were, apparently, three servers for our table, but they didn’t clear plates or show up often, or evertake our menus away, or bring serving plates until we asked for them, or ask if we wanted more cocktails, or really pay muchattention to us, though they were standing at the bar nearby. The food is mediocre, overcooked kebab, Mayo-soaked coconutshrimp. It wasn’t bad, but can’t imagine going again. A very nice space though, with good music, and the outdoor spacelooked like a good area for evening cocktails. The cocktails were reasonably good, if you can get one. Sweet, butenjoyable. Also prices for this restaurant are very reasonable for Navy Yard. You just don’t get much for it, and payovermuch for bad service. Read more

It was a rather cool afternoon when I walked into this place. The hostess made me glad I had when she gave me a seat right in... front of the noodle brutes. Those miscreants that later assaulted my palate relentlessly and cealessly for fifteen straightminutes. Before they savaged me, I sat and watched as they worked in unison under the watchful eye of their captain. There was anewcomer there that day, doing a collaboration with the assailants. Their delicious yet devious conspiracies served them wellthat day. For as I left, there was a line forming. A line of people that would share my fate. Read more

Hatoba is in a great area, the service here is great, our server Marvin was fantastic. He had some great suggestions as well as... a great break down if the menu. All of the food on the menu sounds amazing so I'll definitely be going back to try some of theother options. The outdoor seating is plentiful, another plus. Read more
