First the lodge is absolutely stunning, views are tremendous and setting is very nice. We started with the steak bits appetizer... which was the highlight of our meal. Bits were very tender, cooked to perfection and absolutely will order again. My nephewordered the rib eye medium rare, comes out medium at best, was very thin but overall good. Not worst he has had and would orderagain. I got the New York Strip, ordered medium and came out rare. It was not the finest cut of meat, a huge piece of gristleran thru half my steak, the ends were very tough...the middle did get better but I have definitely had a better New York.Overall, I will ve back. This place was something I heard about prior to moving to Alaska. Just so happens to be across the street from hime so gave it a... try. Very nice ambiance and amazing mountain views. My husband & I both had burgers which were ok, i was hoping for a burst offlavor but it lacked in that department. For something so easy, it took them 45 minutes to get our meal out. I?ll blame it onnot enough staff maybe but please don?t go easy on the seasoning next time. We will probably try again one day and hope forbetter flavor. Read more
Food was good. Morning breakfast buffet great choices
Price doesn't equal the food quality. Spent about $130 and got 1 glass of water, 1 tea with no refills. $33 pepper steak was... not trimmed and full of fried fat which was unpleasant to eat. Not impressed for fine dining. Only two things I enjoyed thatnight was the creme brulee and leaving. Read more
Really cool place, nice atmosphere. Food was good, but not quite the level that I was expecting. The appetizers were the real... specialty to be honest. The ahi tuna was perfect and the calamari was some of the best I'd ever had. I'd definitely come hereagain as the service was outstanding. Read more

Visiting from Florida in July. Sat outside and basked in the beautiful mountain views. Delicious! Awesome service. Had the... chicken Oscar that is awesome! My wife and I enjoy coming here for date nights or host our company Christmas party. The atmosphere is always fun. We were here... for a private event last night (that we were guests at) and the staff was perfectly attentive and the food was amazing asalways. Their spicy calamari is always a good appetizer and they had chicken with a honey glaze that was cooked perfectly andjust the right amount of sweet. Very fun evening and will look forward to going back soon. Read more
