Service is good, but the food genuinely just isn't appetizing. We had the chicken fried brisket, garlic herb shrimp, fried okra,... fries, macaroni & cheese, and chicken & dumplings. The macaroni was just pasta with no sauce, okra had no flavor, and thefries/dumplings were just serviceable. Brisket and shrimp were dishes that we both agreed we wouldn't ask for a box on. I have never had a bad experience at this location. Today the staff shortage caused the wait for our food to be very long. Yet... the waitress was smiling and the food amazing. Very affordable kids meal too! Always clean too. Read more
Very good service and menu selections. There were a variety of options without being too overwhelming. The Chicken Fried... Chicken was perfectly cooked. There wasn't a speck of oil left on the plate. I hesitate to order this type of food because Inever know if the oil will be hot enough to properly fry the food. This restaurant knows how to do it right for sure! The GarlicMashed Potatoes were mashed just right with skin-on red potatoes. While I didn't taste garlic, I did find they were seasonedwell and thought they were delicious. I had asked for the gravy to be put on the side because I was more interested in havingcrispy chicken than having it doused in gravy. But, the gravy was very good. I just dipped into it when I wanted some for mychicken or mashed potatoes. I also ordered streamed broccoli as a side. It was fantastic! Steamed perfectly and it tasted likeit was lightly buttered. Yum! Overall, I was pleased with my lunch. I am only in town for a few more days but would be happy toretun again when I am back in the area for a visit. We haven't been here in a few months. WOW! It has changed for the BEST! Every staff member said hi or welcome on the way in. All... the staff was helping each other service customers. Clean tables. Clean restroom. Food was served nicely on the plate. I can'tthink of anything they could have done to do any better. I'm looking forward to coming back. Try their brisket queso if you have2-3 people to share it. Very good stuff! Read more
We weren't sure at first how many people in our party as one or two people might or might not have come. When we expressed... moving to a bigger table when we thought there were going to be two extra people she said it was out of her section and offeredto move the next table onto ours. In the end we didn't really need the extra room as one of the two extras didn't show. Thefood was great. I got the all you can eat special. They came in a small plate the same as the ones for bread. You got 2 pieces,French fries and jalapeno hush puppies. Then you don't get to have any kind of bottles except salt and pepper. Me and my sisterwanted ketchup they gave 2 little packs. When we asked for more the waitress was super nice and brought out more in littlecontainers. Then when asking for more as it's all you can eat you get 1 and fries. Read more
It's just a regular restaurant to me. The food was well prepared, presentation was fine as you can see from the pics of the... food. The service was just fine. I like the burger, I wish they added more seasoning to the burger patty. My wife said the pattymelt was ok. If you want an average place with average food and service this is the place. Food was just ok. The cheesesticks were cold, the fried pickles look like they had been poorly made,the service was extremely... slow, the restaurant ran out of straws at 3pm lol, and it was pretty dusty. I don't want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. Read more
