Antonio's has been a staple in the East End for almost 2 decades. I can proudly say that i have been going here since they fiedt... opened. As someone who has been to nearly every sandwich shop in the greater waterbury area I can appreciate arguments overwhich is the best. Yes, Nardelli's is a staple and has its merits. Avventuras has a high end quality and unique eats, Cavallo'shas been there forever, Noochies is great, but the price is prohibitive. There's pros and cons everywhere. Antonio's encompassesthe pros without the cons. Delicious, unique options, classic deli staples, and affordable even after all these years. I came here on the recommendation of a friend and I'm so glad I did! I love that they are a family business and everything is so... fresh, I ordered a sausage and peppers grinder and it was very good. Wait time was great for it being lunchtime, about 10minutes if that. I haven't had a really good sausage and peppers grinder like that in a long time.
