I am so I said very disappointed with the Grotto Restaurant ! I would not recommend them to anyone. You would think a... family-owned and operated business would care more about their customers than just " any place " online , That would be thereason why I went there when I was in this situation . Recently a very dear friend and colleague of mine had a death in hisfamily and I was unable to attend the services , I felt so bad that I drove to the Grotto Restaurant to have a gift basket sentto his house. I explained to the owners the situation that I was in . I told them that I needed a gift basket to be sent out thenext day Saturday and they said that would be NO PROBLEM ! We spent a considerably long time together talking about the basketand what needed to be in it. They asked me about the family the basket was going to how many people were in the family if theyhad kids etc. etc. to make the gift basket just right . This was so very important to me. They asked me how much money I wantedto spend , because they did not have any gift baskets pre-made due to the pandemic they made them as needed. Seeing that therewas nothing to pick from , I said I was thinking about spending $100.00 and she said that would be more then enough to have abeautiful basket delivered . I said I wanted to spend all of the $100.00 so to put extra in the basket , she agreed. The ownertold me she would put 2 containers of sauce , 2 pounds of pasta , salad dressing, coffee , cookies ect ... that they wouldreally make it nice . I told her that I 100% trusted her judgment. I gave her the address and two phone numbers for the contactand of course I gave her my phone number and address. I gave her a $100 bill and then I left... Im working right across the street on a job site. Had to park in their parking lot. When i was walking to my car to grab... something Joe came out and I thought he was going to yell at me but instead he invited me in and showed me the restaurant andtold me some history about the place and gave me a sample of the meatball grinder which was amazing. I have called upon The Grotto & Mrs. G many times for gift baskets. I have always been extremely happy with each and every gift... basket I have ordered. Joe (Mrs. G?s husband) always takes the time to get every bit of information correct to determine whatwould be the perfect basket for each occasion. I have an occasion coming up in May and I am already planning to contact TheGrotto & Mrs G for that occasion as well. I say Why mess with Success? If you have got a good thing going why change it? Great little Italian restaurant! Food is great and service just as good. They have a cute little gift shop to browse and buy. ... I absolutely love the olive oil and especially the Balsamic Vinegar that the sell!!! Most delicious and an extraordinary giftto give! Read more
