I do not know how to explain how lucky I was to find this place. The food was INCREDIBLE! I cannot sing their praises enough!... ??\n\nBy pure happenstance (while driving the 18 hours from New York to Chicago), I got hungry for burgers in the middle ofIndiana, and wanted to find a burger place ASAP. The reviews spoke highly of BFM, so I thought, ?Sure, why not.? When my partnerand I arrived, we were convinced that the reviews had lied, and this was actually a trap for unsuspecting travelers. There wasonly (what looked to be) a beige metal woolshed, with a simple hand-painted sign that said, ?Burgers.? I dropped a pin on GoogleMaps with our precise location, and called a few friends to let them know exactly where we were. ?If you do not hear from me in15 minutes, call the fire department,? I said.\n\nHow wrong I was! The owner greeted us as soon as we walked in, and you haveimmediate view of grill and food preparation station. This is by no means a requirement, but sometimes I take comfort in beingable to see my food prepared (especially when I am trying a new restaurant).\n\nEVERYTHING is made by hand - the burgers, thebuns, the fries, the HAND-CHURNED ICE CREAM ???????? I even had one of their homemade sodas! And while we waiting for our mealsto be lovingly prepared (I could see the head chef in the back take such delicate care of every item), we were regaled withwonderful stories of the owner?s travels, and how BFM burgers also became a general store where they partner with local folksand sell items on consignment. So for all you die-hard Schitt$ Creek fans - you can come see Rose?s Apothecary come to life!????\n\nThe food was an elevated experience. It truly was the haute cuisine we longed for on our trip to New York! A hidden gem, the food was amazing, the honey ice cream was probably the best I?ve ever had. 20/10. We will definitely be back... again. I had a mushroom Swiss burger with added bacon, and my girlfriend had the Island burger, both great. The ranch seasonedand smoked sea salt fries were also great, the ranch was the favorite for us. Hands down best burger and fries in the area! I personally have 10+ years experience in kitchens and pick places apart. This is... the ideal place for local goods and food. The burgers are perfectly seasoned and the fries fried to a perfect crisp. The bunsare toasty and the beer cheese is addictive. 10/10 Read more

This place is outstanding! The Man is a Burger Chef. He makes own recipes which are delicious. The Milkshakes and Italian Sodas... are also top notch. B.F.M. also features seasoned fries that are indescribably delicious. They also offer some of the best beercheese I\'ve ever tasted to dip your fries in.
