Husband and I wanted to try a new place tonight because when we go out, we always go to the same places...to start off, we were... quickly greeted at the door, and our waitress was very nice and on top of everything. Place was very well decorated and felthomey. Menu was hard to choose from because everything sounded delicious. We were seated at a table where you could see rightinto the kitchen. I ordered the meat loaf dinner, husband got the chicken BBQ dinner and we also shared a bowl of mac andcheese. As we waited for our food, we realized everything they served was going into the microwave. His whole chicken legquarter, salt potatoes, my meat loaf, even the Mac and cheese went into the microwave FROM FROZEN! (We only knew it was fromfrozen because the guys microwaving the food told the waitress it'll take longer because it was frozen) which this caused thebottom of the bowl to over cook the Mac and cheese to be hard and not edible. It was also dry and not cheesy enough. The peoplein the kitchen were also playing music loudly that wasn't very pleasant. Prices were kind of high for the quality of the food,but right for the portions. I was going to do 1 star but the waitress was really really nice. I personally won't go againbecause I've never been anywhere where ALL food goes into the microwave especially the main part of your dish including a wholechicken leg quarter. Read more
Our meal was just okay. This is a very charming diner with friendly employees. Food could have been better though. We both got... the hot turkey sandwich and it was lunch meat turkey that was pretty bland. The mashed potatoes weren't creamy and had theconsistency of a mashed baked potato. My husbands fries were great though. Price point is a bit high for such bland food. If wewere to go again we would try the breakfast options as those looked pretty good! Read more
The food was great! Best burger I?ve had in a while, so delicious!!! My kiddo got the kid hot dog and fries and she enjoyed as... well. Atmosphere is pleasant and the servers were friendly and food came out quickly. Will def be back here, it was so good!! Westopped in on a whim after kayaking nearby and this was perfect for lunch. Stopped on our way home from Niagara Falls to Boston. Left Canada early 6am) to beat the lines at Customs so after a couple of... hours into the ride home we were ready for breakfast. I had done a little research the night before and found Magee CountryDiner might just fit the bill. Reviews were very good and it was easy on, easy off Rt. I90, so we decided to give it a try. Wewere glad we did. We were promptly greeted and seated. Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient. She took our drink ordersfirst and the took breakfast orders from 4 gentleman seated near us. After putting their orders in she returned to us and thetook our orders. No sooner had she put ours in did she return with the breakfast plates for the table next to us. We werepleased to see this as we were on the road and knew it meant we would not have to spend more time than we wanted to. Breakfastas expected came out quick and hot. In our group we had pancakes, a waffle, a bagel, poached eggs, home fries, bacon, sausageand a honey glazed cornbread. Breakfast did not disappoint. Everything was excellent. The cornbread was amazing, the best I?veever had. Bacon was very flavorful, although I would have like a little more. Home fries were good and eggs were poached exactlyway I like them, soft not hard. Those with waffles, pancakes & bagels were very pleased with their selections. Magee?s has areally nice vibe. Very welcoming and homey. It has a country old time decor with some fun and interesting items to look at. Ihighly recommend Magee?s, especially if you are traveling through the area on the highway and wound like a great meal at a greatprice. My only regret about Magee?s is that I don?t live near it. Wow! Just wow!!! Anything you get will definitely be delicious but you MUST try the honey glazed cornbread!!! Stayed in the area... for a few days and came here each day for breakfast. The staff were all friendly and kind. They were super busy but the wait wasreasonable and after you get in the food comes relatively fast! Would definitely go back! Read more
