The name don't make sense to me but the food and atmosphere is fantastic!
I've always loved ABE ERB because they are very consistent with the food, service and the beers. I love how open the restaurant... is, and the vibe they created is immaculate. I always love that they have kW Craft on tap, and they also sell it in 1LGrowlers! The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. The owner/waiter scolded me and told me that he will be paying for my for my meal because I chose to not to tip after having an... overpriced and bad experience. The food came in after an hour of wait and 3 follow ups. Our server got us the wrong order andasked us to have it as if he was doing us a favour. My friend?s lamb BLT meat was dry and my noodle bowl had lumps of noodlesstuck together like when they?ve been stored a really long time. I asked for virgin drinks to which the server made a face andafter I was extra nice and kept asking for virgin options he got me drinks - 10 bucks each. For half a sweet potato, 1vegetarian noodle serving (with lumps) and 2 glasses of the virgin drink whose name or price the server couldn?t explain I wascharged 46 after tax. And then I was scolded for not tipping. Not sure if tipping is mandatory even if you?ve had a badexperience but I will not be scolded or peer pressured into it. The service was fantastic, responsive and friendly. Unfortunately, the Salmon appetizer was dry and the noodle salad wasn't too... flavorful to be honest, but the steak was perfect, juicy and tasty! Read more
Nice evening but it was a bit on the pricey side.The bacon and blue cheese burger was really tasty. We upgraded to sweet potato... fries and they were not crispy. Our friends had nachos and they were ok because the meat was bland.the tortillas were crispy andthey had enough cheese on top. Some others had the tacos and I saw a lot of lettuce but not enought meat but they said theyliked it. Not sure about the dress code of the staff but our server was really not wearing an appropriate top. It was reallyshowing more than everyone needed to see. I always enjoy my visits here. 1857 is my go to beer. This is the first occasion where I did not enjoy the food. We had... brisket tacos and chicken souvlaki tacos. They were bland and the brisket was very chewy and some pieces inedible. Sodisappointing. Read more
