Finally writing a review after being here 3 times! Parts of the menu change frequently, but I've gotten their cornish hen, surf... & turf, as well as monkfish and was satisfied every time. Such a wide variety of dishes with lots of flavour and creativity. Thefood leans a bit homey and comfortable rather than fine dining. A bit pricey but the portion sizes are VERY generous every timeand I always come back with leftovers. Service is always prompt and the cozy vibes are nice. Read more

A very diverse selection of dishes. Each one with their own unique and incredible taste. Portions are very generous and will... fill you up. They also have an incredible selection of drinks and cocktails. The service was very friendly and prompt. Theatmosphere was very cozy and a great place to take your partner or meet with friends. Make reservations to ensure you get atable. Read more

Not worth the price. Service was cold and below average from the moment we stepped inside until we walked out. I'm not sure if... it's because we were dressing too casual. Anyway, the menu appeared interesting to us and we kinda hoped that it might be acreative fusion restaurant that worth the price. We ordered 2 appetizers (2 different dishes of oysters) and 2 mains (the duckbreast one and the pork rib one). Althought the dishes came in huge portions, they were disappointing. Everything was cookedbelow average. I personally think they are too ambitious to mix and match random South east asia food components into one dishwithout understanding how to cook each component properly. Plus, they were not complimenting each others well. Flavors werereally off. At the end of our meal, the server didn't even bother to ask how was our meal, they just informed us that they onlyaccept debit and thanked for our payment. A little disappointed to pay ~75cad each for a below average dinner in terms of bothservice and food. Read more

Amazing food! It's very flavorful and it's not heavy. Apparently the menu frequently changes also. Everything is freshly made,... you do pay for the quality but it's obvious that you recieved it Read more

Food's good, portions are decently generous. I'd recommend sitting outside if you can because the ventilation is a little poor... inside. Probably wouldn't ever wanna come again, because I simply had to wait much too long for the food. We went late to avoidthe dinner rush. Our 2 appetizers took 40 minutes to come, and the 2 mains came about an hour after the appetizers. There wasonly us and another large group of 10 people at the restaurant by the time our appetizers finished so perhaps the wait wasbecause they had to cater to them first. The service was good, just make sure to have 3 hours to spare. Remember not to takeyour frustrations out on your servers. Read more

It has been years since I was last at this Waterloo institution but Bhima's doesn't disappoint. If you've never been you may... find the decor a bit quirky but it seems to be in line with the sort of small eatery you find in Indonesia (as seen by a GoogleImage search :p). The menu talks about how you'd be making a complete glutton of yourself if you eat more than $3 worth at awarung but Bhima's Warung is not like one of those. It's pricy but incredibly delicious and satisfying. This isn't one of thoserestaurants where you pay $100 for a spoon of scented rice with some Basil foam. It was fun watching the kitchen work from thebar. We hung out there while our food was being prepared. Definitely recommended if there's space available. I hope to be backsooner next time! Read more

My friend and I ordered a duck dish and a sea food plate for mean course, we also had a pork shrimp rice roll for appetizer. Not... recommending at all. Dishes looked good but tasted normal, not delicious and were way overpriced. The drinks were fine, butwon't come back again. Read more

Went with the family (7 ppl) for my brother?s birthday. Got the family style menu which included a nice variety of appetizers... and then an absurd quantity of excellent entrees. The baby back ribs, rib eye and monkfish risotto were highlights. Goodcocktails, very reasonable wine list, top notch service. This place is really great and I?ll happily come back again. Read more
