Absolutely always love Ethels. The beer selection is fantastic, the patio an absolute vibe, and $3.00 taco Tuesday a must! I... have frequented here so many times and have always had a good time. (Just note this establishment is not very accessible if youuse mobility aids and the restrooms are quite small- likely would also not be able to accommodate a mobility aid. ) Read more
Dissapointed with pulled pork Nachos. Idk why people is raving about this. Cheddar cheese tasted meh, those cheddar cheese gone... hard doesn't really compliment Nachos. Pulled pork was dry and gummy. What's left on the bottom are chips. Weren't able to mixas cheese hardened. They gave me diced tomatoes instead of Salsa *face palm* . Pls don't ruin Nachos. I love Mexican nachos butnot this way. It was very expensive. $22 for this. It looked good on the photo that's why we ordered (saw it on google reviews) but got let down. Read more

Quintessential Diner. This place was one of my favourite haunts when I lived in Uptown. Great, old fashioned diner, with... excellent food, based partially on a Tex-Mex style. The food was excellent, and incredibly reasonable and in particular theSaturday night ribs were great. Staff was always super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was super fun and relaxed. Itattracts a wide variety of patrons, spanning the neighbourhood it sits in and beyond. Definitely one of the go-to spots inWaterloo. Read more

Stopped in after an appointment ordered the nachos & jr Ethel burger. Best nachos I?ve had anywhere, they don?t skimp on the... toppings which is nice! The burger was amazing not too dry. The burger alone was filling even though it came with sides - can?twait to come back! Read more
Pretty grossed out after I found part of a wet nap wrapper at the bottom of my drink. Nachos were good but for the price I... expected more. Not much pulled pork on top and like most places the nachos under the first layer had nothing on them. And verylittle sour cream. The beef brisket wrap was so plain. Only saw our waiter twice before we ordered then didn't see him atall. Gave this place 2 more chances. Burger Monday & Taco Tuesday. Monday Burgers - went in for the burger they wereadvertising on Instagram (not part of the deal) burger was dry & overcooked. Taco Tuesday - Taco had so little meat in them. Youhave to order all the sides to even fill the tacos up half way. Some of my tacos almost had no meat in them. Too bad becausetheir shell was actually good. Read more
