A hidden gem in Waterloo, this lil spot always seems to have a great music line up, and a variety of yummy eats! I joined for... Cajun food and music this weekend, and really enjoyed! Food is delicious, and the dynamic duo wife and husband that run thisjoint are humourous, kind, and quite clearly care for their customers enjoyment and experience! Nice surprise. This place is well hidden in Waterloo behind Phil?s, a well known University hang out. The irony is that this... couldn?t be more different. The vibe is mature and relaxed live music. Blues. Jazz. Folk. Rock and whatever else will make yourtoes tap. I was pleasantly surprised and this was a Tuesday Jam Night. The talent there was raw and awesome all at the sametime. The bar is well stocked too! I should also mention the restrooms as well. They are cute, clean and a good representationof the rest of the place. My only suggestion would be to invest in some awesome LARGE screens across the front of the secondlevel with multiple views of high def or even 4K video of the live music below. That would take this place from good to greatfor every seat in the house. Technology can take this place to next level for sure. Read more
What an amazing little place! Albeit small, this place packs a punch if given the opportunity. The food is delightful! In... addition to the set menu, there are nightly specials. Everything is prepared fresh by the chef owner. As not big eaters, wedecided to share a Bison Burger from the set menu & the Chicken with sun-dried tomato sauce and risotto from the special. Ohwow! Not sure which was better? Incredible flavor, juicy, delicious!!! The cocktail list is unique concoctions sure to delight.Although tempted, our pre dinner drinks were a delicious spicy Caesar and the recommended beer. The wine with dinner was aperfect compliment. Did I mention the entertainment? We arrived early enough to enjoy the live entertainment which continuedthrough our dinner. He was a definite crowd pleaser playing exactly what the room felt.
