Took my son here on international fried chicken Sandwich day. Yes thats a real thing. I went here based on a friend's suggestion... that they had good fried chicken sandwich. All in all it was good. I think it's the same chicken that Harvey's has but a betterbun and is topped with a nice coleslaw and mayo. All in all it was a good dinner. Read more
Just got take out 2 festive specials last night (November 9,2022). We drove the 20-25 minutes drive home. Excitedly opened the... boxes (we?re in our late 50s and this is about as exciting as our life has become). The restaurant neglected to include thechalet sauce in both our boxes. We ate dry chicken and fries. Absolutely nothing festive about it. The other two times wevisited this establishment we were shorted the chalet sauce and on another occasion they ran out of chicken. How does a SwissChalet run out of the main ingredient of their mainstay?! Not impressed. This old hen and rooster will be going to otherclucking establishments for our next takeout meal. Just as we finished our meal a cockroach crawling in our booth. Won?t be back to this location ever. Server was pleasant. Didn?t... check on us during the meal. My chicken was a little dry compared to what I usually expect at Swiss Chalet. Wouldn?t have left areview until the roach at the end of the meal. ???? Read more
Discussing my sis and I went for lunch and as we got ready to eat we notice a Roach walking across the table I jump away from... the table and my sister flip the Roach off the table with a napking to the floor so the server came over to see what washappening and we explained what happend to the server all she said was oh iam so sorry and that was it. I didn't eat my food Iwas gross out I have weak stomach I just couldn't eat it my sis did eat her food bcause we pay like $40.00 Anyways. Never goingthere again ! Good and quick service. Food came out fast and was hot & fresh. Good portions sized chicken dinners, our table all did the 1/2... chicken meal and had plenty to take home for leftovers Read more
My husband and I had an amazing waitress today. Dahlia. She was prompt and efficient with our order which was hot and delicious.... We have found the Boardwalk location to be the better location in the K-W area. Keep up the amazing work Read more
If i could give this location a 0 stars i would. It took for ever to take our order and an eternity to get our food. We had to... ask for our appetizers after about a 20 minute wait, while we were eating those at least 4 tables walked out as they were tiredof waiting. When our food finally arrived, to me it tasted watery moist but no flavor...We were seated at approximately 6:45and didn't get out tell 8:40 an this with no after dinner chat. The booth were were seated at was not cleaned, there was stickystuff on the table had to ask server to clean it. The people in the booth behind us heard asking for our appetizer andcomplaining and when they left, told us of their terrible experience from cold fries that they sent back to their extremely longwait and to order and get food. They said they would never come back to this location, and like us was the first time they hadbeen at this location . In conclusion I do not recommend this Swiss Chalet . Read more
My partner and I ordered food from the boardwalk location in Waterloo. Our meal was delayed for 30 minutes after paying extra... for priority. When it finally arrived the restaurant gave our driver the wrong meal. I tried to call and was hung up on twicethen left on hold for 20 minutes. We went down to the restaurant (thankfully we hadn't started to drink) and had to wait in linefor another 30 minutes to talk to someone. There was no person solely managing the take-out counter. When we finally had achance to talk to someone they tried to blame UberEats for taking the wrong meal. When we got back to our house we opened ourmeal to find that parts were missing. I called the restaurant again and finally talked to a manager. They did offer to drivethe missing food to us but I was asking for a refund on the delivery fee and priority fee. They would not comply but insteadtold is we needed to go through Uber and wasted a majority of our evening. I will not be recommending Swiss Chalet takeout toanyone and heavily warn against it.
