We had afternoon tea here. Pleasant experience. The dining room is ancient and run down had a musty smell and the sun was... heating up the room through the old single pane window. Outdated. The view alone was well worth the stop in, but the food was also phenomenal. I could literally eat a tire while looking at... scenery so beautiful, but thankfully I didn't have to. Came here with a family of 4 for the afternoon tea. The afternoon tea part was okay... good, but not outstanding. I'm comparing... this to other afternoon teas at the Fairmont which may or may not be a bit unfair. The service was decent, appreciated thatthey had student servers from Calgary who try hard. The tea were teabags that you brewed yourself as mentioned in other posts.The selection wasn't too bad, I believe 12 or so? Food was good, but wish they heated up the scones. Saving grace wasdefinitely the view of the lake. I would recommend coming for the experience and price point, but don't expect 5 star level hightea. Read more

Afternoon tea is one of my favourite things to do and something that I would often do growing up and living in Vancouver. I?ve... been to all the afternoon tea salons in greater Van. We?ve been living in Calgary the last few years and with our kids busysoccer schedule I haven?t been able to go. Since my friend was visiting and we would be in Waterton we decided it would be aperfect time to go. I was so disappointed and honestly wish I?d save the time and money and got a waffle from Waffleton. Thelocation and view was definitely the best part of this tea. The scones and clotted cream were delicious, the rest was ok. I wasdisappointed that the tea was just a tea bag in a lacklustre cup, and the sugar and cream was just presented how you would findat any greasy diner. The service was ok, nothing special, nothing bad. Definitely won?t go again, and wouldn?t recommend it toanyone. $100 spent on a meh experience and I still had to pay $10 for parking. Read more

Absolutely the best place in Waterton to eat! Our server, Tatum, was amazing and attentive, and always there to refill drinks... with a smile. Great views of the lake from the dining room, extraordinary staff who are very knowledgeable about the history ofthe hotel. I would recommend the peach mule as well it is an excellent cocktail.
