Went there and the food and waitress were above expectations. Home cooked meals. Prime rib and mashed potatoes. We will be back.
I was having a fine meal until I witnessed the staff talking down to a mom because her kids were a little upset. They were not... even that loud or disruptive and they were shaking their heads and even told her it was disrespectful! Definitely not a familyfriendly restaraunt. Read more
Spent a month beyond excited to try Shuler's Restaurant only to get there and have the absolute worst customer service... experience of my life. The kids were a little cranky and the waitress was glaring at my family and shaking her head and evenwent to another table to talk about us with another customer. She then told me I was being disrespectful of the other customersbecause I wouldn?t take my one year old outside for behaving poorly. He doesn?t understand he?s 1 then proceeded to tell me shehas kids and they don?t act like that in restaurants again I remind you he?s 1. The waitress was so disrespectful and down rightrude. We tried to call and I understand they were busy but that is not an excuse. If they couldn?t handle 2 screaming kids theyshould have said they were too full and we would have turned around and left. Stopped in with my boyfriend and had the french onion soup which was delicious!! Staff was friendly and attentive. My grandpa... used to own the place years ago when it was Howard's then changed the name to Shuler's sold it and moved, so I always havewanted to visit and was able to on a trip back from Niagra Falls. Certainly an old school place and doesn't look like theinterior has changed since he left. But do not be deceived, good is all homemade and large portions. Average Diner, serving up American style food. We ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger for lunch, with a side of Fries, and Sweet Tea.... Surprised they brew their on Iced Tea, which was a real treat. Burger was cooked Medium Rare, which is what I usually prefer.Fries are average. There was plenty of seating available. Overall not a bad restaurant, would possibly return again if we are inthe area.
