Michael?s Catering came highly-recommended from our venue coordinator. The food and bar services are some of the most important... of any large event, so there was a lot of discussion around these for our wedding. What closed the deal for us was the tastingat Michael?s restaurant in Waterville, NY. The food was incredible and the other options we?d been considering no longermattered. The quality of the food was not the only reason we went with Michael?s. The logistical tasks of renting everythingneeded to serve our guests dinner, bringing it to the venue, and cleaning it up afterwards was handled for us. All we had to dowas pick the colors for the linens! On the day of our wedding, we had Bridget as our coordinator and she ensured everything wasrunning smoothly, checking in with us and she even brought us a plate of our hors d'oeuvres we hadn?t gotten to taste yet. Theonly issue we had with Michael's was overall communication leading up to the wedding day. There were times when we wouldn?t hearfrom the coordinator, Stephanie, for weeks after sending email communications. We recognize that their business is very busyduring wedding season, but didn?t feel like we were made a priority until the last few weeks leading up to our wedding and itleft us feeling rushed and stressed when we made every effort to be proactive. Michaels fine food and spirits was an incredible vendor to work with at our Wolf Oak Acres wedding. From the beginning with the... personalized tasting menu, where we had full control over ingredients and details, to the end when the perfect meals were servedto all of our guests, it has been a dream in terms of catering. The menu was delicious and versatile, the staff went above andbeyond to make the day perfect and make sure we had hot food on our table when we did finally decide to sit down and eat, andour guests continue to report back that the food was some of the best they have ever had at a wedding! Also they are a businessthat truly cares, and immediately reached out after the wedding to ensure that they followed through on all they promised. 07/23/2022. Wedding at Windrige Estate Red Barn 20 catered by Michael's. Michael's is one of their premier caterers. Spectacular... would be a more appropriate description. As Father of the bride, and having been in the fancy food industry for 41 years, I wasmore than impressed. It's all in the details is the expression. Michael's takes care of every single one. An unusually hot dayin Cazenovia and they made sure everything was crisp and delicious. Passed appetizers were on ex-large platters so the staffweren't wasting time. Multiple bar tenders so guests aren't waiting for drinks. Plenty of staff too! No supply chain issueshere. You get what you pay for. The quality of the appetizers, salads and main courses was compatible if not better than any 5star restaurant. Michael's also uses the finest local talent for deserts. We had a couple of guest on special diets. Michael'sidentified them and made sure they were attended to. I give Michael's the highest possible recommendation for any affair. Read more
Michael?s catered our wedding at Hayloft on the Arch last month, and let me tell you? Our guests RAVED about how delicious all... the food was. From our very first meeting with Michael at our tasting, it was evident how invested he was in bringing ourculinary vision to life, and how much he valued the quality of the food he put out. Stephanie was so kind and very on top of ourcommunications with scheduling, menu planning, and place setting layouts - simply great to work with. At our wedding, everythingfrom the charcuterie display to the main entrees was perfect. We chose to do a plated meal service for 140 guests, and all thefood came out hot and was SO good. The staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodated those who needed some extra love :) Thebar service was superb, too. HIGHLY recommend choosing Michael?s for your catering service! Read more
They do a fantastic job here! Very great food, service, and beverage selection. It is priced fairly. During COVID I went and... felt very safe and they were very clean and considerate. I would recommend this place to my friends and family and willdefinitely continue to go back! I also went during an anniversary and they were so sweet by surprising us with a glass ofchampagne! We've eaten at Michael's for special occasions and have always had an incredible meal. We visited most recently for a tasting... for our wedding menu and to say this exceeded expectations is putting it mildly. We worked with Stephanie to create the menu anddid our tasting with Michael (the owner!). He went above and beyond for the whole thing. He sat with us patiently to go over ourquestions and ideas and then brought out amazing food. Honestly can't even explain how delicious and fresh each app and entreewas! After, Michael sat down again to go over selections and explain the pre wedding process and just get out feedback. It madeall of us feel important and special. I wanted to enjoy, but was very disappointed! Two hours (2) to get our food. Yes, two hours! Staff was nice, however they only... attended table upon request. Could be a great place, no Managment in the house. They botched reservations, gas lighted my wife,however we were hopeful. Come on! Don?t make your problem our problem when it comes to making a meal and delivering our food. Noexcuse, we paid you for Service we did not receive. Manage, don?t over book tables, help staff, and be the place you could. Idon?t usually (or ever) give one star - today I must. Step up crew, or shut down. Very sad experience. Read more
