Prior to the day of my reservation, I went on the website to make a reservation. It says if there is going to be more then 6... people, send an email to the restaurant. I did this. No one answered my email so I called and explained I was going to have 9people, the lady told me to book online regardless of my party size. So at this point I had sent a special email directly to therestaurant (that went unanswered), called the restaurant, and booked online. My family of 9 showed up and we had this tiny couchthat didnt accommodate my family, we had to pull up extra chairs. Then we were in an extremely sunny spot and asked to open theumbrella, which offered no shade and was cooking my family. We had a liquor and food menu at the couch seating area but no beermenu. I asked the waitress to see thr beer menu and that was a QR code... if you order a beer from there, it closes out your tabafter the transaction.... less then convenient. For being a brewery, why cant I see a printed list of beers on the patio? We hada liquor list outside... but not a beer list at a brewery. The waitress didnt come back frequently and never brought water tothe table for my family that is baking in the sun. We got up and left. I walked next door to Slyce and they immediatelyaccommodated my family on a Saturday afternoon around 4. We had an outdoor table, they accommodated 3 children, 6 adults, and adog. We ordered drinks, food, alcohol and spent over $200... For being a small local brewery in a 1 horse town of Wauconda, Iexpected way better service from Side Lot, considering I went through all the guidline steps to ensure the restaurant couldaccommodate my family. Their ordering app Toast caused a lot of problems for the staff. We definitely heard them complain about us, but we realize the... mistakes weren't their fault, nor were they ours. Still a fun night. HP2 was fun to see on their projector screen. Read more
I want to love this place! Great location, outdoor space is fabulous, friendly staff. But the beers are just so so. I keep going... back thinking it’ll get better, but I’m always disappointed. Maybe next time I’ll have a cocktail instead, and I’ll loveit! Read more
Dog friendly brewery with awesome outside space. Beers are tasty, food looked tasty too, but our dog was the only one to get... anything to eat. They have a pup menu and the food comes served on a frisbee for the dog. They also serve cocktails as well. Read more
Place and staff rocks. Phil is a great owner and great guy. Food is great - like, very good! Bangs Chicken is fire! The beer is... always drinkable and sometimes the funds go to a good cause. Also have great cocktails. Definitely swing through - they havegood shirts and mugs and stuff! Vibe is great. Outdoor area is great. Service is great. Read more
This review is for the weekend brunch. I was really surprised by the wide variety of food items available for the brunch. It... was nice to see all the traditional things you'd expect for a brunch. A few of my favorites: scrambled eggs, lox and bagels,potatoes, waffles and they even had oysters on the half shell. Of course we also had the bottomless mimosas. Cozy little spot in the heart of Wauconda. The beer selection is unique and their new drinks are awesome. The food menu is... different but all good! I highly recommend the different hot dog selections! The outdoor patio is great to visit all yearlong! Read more
